Was listening to an American history podcast on the My Lai massacre a few weeks ago. The podcaster's final words seem important today:

We are all reeling from the news of Dr. Markland's death. He was the best of humanity and reminded us to care about others and the bigger world around us. His loss is immeasurable. So I guess Makis was right about one thing - they were the exact opposite.
I think these predatory sites scrape news of deaths and post fake obituaries. They then try to get people to purchase flowers, or a popup tells them they have a virus, etc. Its horrific they do this. But they do have to scrape it from somewhere so it probably came from a private post.
David Rose, the police officer and Afghanistan veteran with a wife and 2 small children, was murdered by a white, right wing extremist man a month ago over antivaccine conspiracies pushed by RFK Jr. and this administration. He did not get recognition from political leaders or even much news coverage
