Can we maybe not celebrate a ‘Murican holiday in the middle of tyranny by an aggressively ‘Murican cult leader? That’d be great.

There’s been fireworks going off consistently for the past 20 mins at least, and my cat does not like it. He climbed onto me and has been either kneading or bathing out of stress for pretty much the whole time (when he’s not trying to sleep and getting scared by the noise).

(Thankfully, I also have a very clingy cat who came back to cuddle, and it’s hard to feel nauseous with him curled up on my lap being cute.)

Instead, I got to the point where there were images of his skin peeling off and footage from a camera they sent into his stomach, and my brain just won’t get rid of it. I’m watching lighter videos and that’s helped a lot, but every now and then I’ll flash back and regret my life choices. Ugh.

Then, halfway through my protein bars, I stumbled upon a channel I’ve seen before that covers some of the darker/crazier incidents of the world, including a video on a guy who died from extreme radiation poisoning. I’d seen it before, so I figured I’d skim it and stop before it got too graphic.

I need brain bleach. I only got a few hours of sleep, then went to a Pride Parade, which was awesome but also loud and chaotic. Got back home, thinking I’d just crash, then realized I needed to eat. Watched YouTube to pass the time, got stuck for a few hours by the cat draping himself over my arm–
