Finding molecular tags that localise fluorescent proteins to the cell membrane was the goal of our latest paper, now published in Development @dev-journal.bsky.social. The tags act as address labels, sending proteins to the cell membrane, where they highlight the shape and arrangement of cells. 2/9

Screenshot of reviewers comments “Other concerns: 1. Given the double blind review process, it is not possible to evaluate the quality of the laboratory husbandry methods. We are given names of the X and Y laboratories in the text, but these are not familiar names. They appear in the citations, but I did not track them down. The Z laboratory is mentioned so we have confidence given the reputation of that group. Where are these labs and who did the bench work?”
The system is so broken 😞
We all are 😫
Amazing work @aikmi.bsky.social and team !
Beautiful work!
Sometimes, the only way to build back up is to let everything fall apart. This is certainly true at the cellular level. www.quantamagazine.org/break-it-to-...

Unfair to compare hardware/devices to software/apps. Growth differences would be less contrasting with other social apps like IG or Tiktok.
The Church Evolution Lab (CEL@NYU) is hiring a postdoc! We have several new projects to study the genomic basis of biodiversity in model clades – especially Hawaiian Drosophila. apply.interfolio.com/179354
Come join our new group, you can study bugs and live in NYC! Feel free to share widely!
Congratulations Anna !
Fav field in one of the my fav museums, can’t get better. Wish I could be there!
This is so trippy

Scientists of the #CytoMorphoLab adapted their protocols to illustrate the questions that keep them awake at night.
-> Two shows on the 24th and 25th of January.
Congratulations Tony! Great news!
Excellent program. Was a mentor last year- would like to do it again this year. Please spread the word !
Very interesting read
Finally, congratulations !!
Beautiful work !
Interested in metabolism? So are we! My lab has been exploring the cell biology of energy metabolism in the nervous system, and we are looking for postdocs. Cool sensors and microscopy, great work environment. Please help me spread the word!
Congratulations!🙌
How does tissue mechanics drive the evolutionary diversity of forms/morphology we see around us?

Out today in @nature.com: Together with the Honigmann, Shevchenko, Drobot and Hof labs, we present a general workflow for imaging the localization and transport of individual lipids in cells and mapping their metabolism.

We have finally navigated the endless red tape and gotten the donation site to support the US FlyBase groups up and running.

This is absolutely BS. Im sorry Sian.
Image of a micro-centrifuge tube in the foreground of a lab centrifuge. An extraction column is fitted in the tube. The tube cap is used to cap the extraction column.
I was today years old when I found a way to prevent the annoying epi tube cap breaking during elution. Apparently, it’s not common knowledge. IYKYK
Amazing lab and PI !
Postdoc position available! Fanatastic lab, PI, institute, environment, and vibrant city - Apply now!
Great stuff Joaquin !
Experimental embryology postdoc available in my lab at the @biology.ox.ac.uk @ox.ac.uk working on the evolution of vertebral counts. Reach out if you’re passionate about EvoDevo, enjoy lab work and microscopy and are into or could get into cichlid fishes. Deadline on the 16th June. Please share!
Mauricio, nice to see your lab online !
