I quit Tekken 8, and started making my own 3D fighter. Playable for free, complete with rollback. People have been loving it π

I've been running gdcparties.com for a few years now. Some shitty company BlueberryAI decided they'd just take all the source code for the work I've done and reskin it, advertising it as their own. Jokes on them...it was still linked to my events spreadsheet, and now their website looks like this π
THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Blueblood Arena's Steam page was just published! store.steampowered.com/app/3689030/...
Game's not out yet but please wishlist the game if you're interested!!

I'm General Manager, not CEO. Iβm not involved in the buying or selling of the company. I joined Evo in 2021 to work on events for a community I love, with people I know share that passion. Thatβs still my role here and that keeps me hopeful.

Letterboxd screenshot Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) Watched by Branson Reese 28 Apr 2022 Abrams isn't a man so much as he's an avatar of cultural entropy. If you make something popular enough eventually you will die or sell it off and and a person in thick rimmed glasses whose main artistic vision is that he loves to have meetings will take it and sandblast it until it's nothing. I hate to see this happen here but maybe it's good that this happened. Maybe every franchise should collapse into a version of itself that makes shareholders nod and shake each others' hands. We should learn to speak in a language that rich people who don't dream can't comprehend.

At the risk of TMI...
Good call on the laxatives. I wish someone had explained to me when I got laparoscopic surgery in 2020 that the pain meds would erase my ability to poop. For at least a week. I would eat a footlong and start crying "Where did it go?!? It has to go somewhere!!!" π
Josie worked on @toughlovearena.com ! Sheβs great :)

omg the ultra sfx
i even read a bunch of HPMOR while I was traveling for EVO 2024, which i enjoyed at first but eventually became a slog.
this has opened a whole can of worms where i'm now revisiting and re-evaluating some memories. im also excited to listen to more BTB.
thank you for planting the seed :)
i had a close friend 13 years ago who was really into LessWrong and Effective Altruism who would talk to me about it for hours. moreso charity stuff, not the super ai. i found it convincing and it gave me a bit of existential crisis. thankfully my normie roommates helped give me some perspective.
