It somehow went from worse to worser

I genuinely could not get it together to do most of the things on my todo list, but I did organize my desk, take all the tool type equipment down to the garage, and took out garbage. Kitchen counters are mostly clear. Baby steps. Trying to keep the big picture in sight.
I'm so mad I've never thought of this. It's genius.
This absolutely did not age well. It was well before we knew she was problematic as hell, so forgive me. 😩
I immediately know this is Portland lmao. Even if someone else posted it.
U.S. military spending is set to hit a record $1.5 trillion.
Roughly half of defense spending goes to private contractors that routinely price-gouge the government.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon has failed EIGHT straight audits.
The military industrial complex is cheering today.
How come “How are you going to pay for it?” is never asked about endless war?
I am officially try-to-get-out-of-the-car-and-fart-instead years old. 😩
See a pattern here?
The word “hubby” or “the husband” are both pretty tired. What are we using now, fam?
Everything is starting to feel awful all the time. I have 0 legal protections the moment I leave my state. Literally even to fly to another protective state I go onto federal property where I have (again) 0 legal protection. This is fun. 🙃🙃
It’s pretty much impossible to live a life free of environmental harm.
But there is one thing you could do immediately that would help the planet a heck of a lot: eat less beef.

Like, I’m not going to go ON and ON, more than I already have, but I genuinely am just like, let’s remove religion from the picture entirely. Maybe pointing out how awful they are isn’t doing the moral trick. Let’s use a legal one. Religion =/= Government.
We literally say that every man (person) in the US has the right to liberty, the pursuit of happiness, etc. in our governing documents. If you are hungry or sick or houseless, etc. you are being obstructed from your RIGHT. (3/?)
I care that they are acting contrary to the letter AND the spirit of the law. I care that they are committing crimes. I care that people not qualified in certain fields are now the head of those fields in the US government. I care that people are hungry. (2/?)
It is so wild to me that it’s repeatedly brought up how the MAGA movement is being so “unchristlike” and not acting as Jesus would, and I’m like, sorry? Religion isn’t a standard for how my secular government should run. I don’t care if they aren’t acting Christlike. (1/?)
Instacart app screen showing 3 restaurants to order from (Taco Bell, Burger King, and Arby’s), each with a $19.99 delivery fee and 45 minute or more delivery time.
“I’m so happy I can get delivery out here”
The delivery: 😩
Oh I miss not having to run the heat, or not very much. It’s like a 7 month of the year thing in our house.
For me, it’s my fingers. ALWAYS. I don’t know why. Even inside my house that’s sitting at 71, I have icicle fingies.
This should alarm everyone. The FBI searched a journalist’s home and seized her work devices, despite no criminal charges. This is a direct threat to press freedom.
From a good friend in Minneapolis: "Target is allowing ICE to stage in their parking lots, use their restrooms, and abduct people from inside their stores - so if you weren’t boycotting already, now is the time." They were staging in Chicago as well.
Australia just recorded zero cervical cancer cases in women under 25 for the first time since records began in 1982. The amazing result of HPV vaccination.
I think the world needs more positivity and optimism and I try to embody that when I can. I really don’t want to stay ignorant or not talk about the world we are currently living in but also like, it’s okay to just want to have a happy space or even just occasional happy posts? Idk.
Really going to try to focus on my affirmations this year. Mindset is literally half the battle.
If you’re watching us from outside the United States, it’s pretty much as bad as it looks.
The NRA buys off Congress. No action on guns.
The oil industry buys off Congress. No action on climate.
Insurance companies buy off Congress. No action on health care.
The list goes on and on.
Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.
Inflation rose by 22.6% from 2019-2024.
In that same period, the 100 lowest-paying corporations paid their CEOs 34.7% more.
They only raised employee pay by 16.3%.
But they spent $644 BILLION on self-enriching stock buybacks.
TRICKLE-DOWN IS A SCAM.
