i get that, something i feel is missing from the newer games is how nothing feels organic anymore. the control is nice for aesthetics but to me the appeal of animal crossing has always been the randomness of it, how it felt like anything could happen and it made every little win feel special

Page 4. Jax: You don't seriously think you can make me-- POOF! The whole page blows up in smoke as Ribbit and Jax instantly swap outfits. Jax now in the slit skirt dress and Ribbit in the tailcoat and tux.
Page 5. Ribbit: Oh, wow, it actually worked! Jax takes a second to process before freaking out. Jax: WHAT? HOW? WHY?? He grabs Ribbit by the shoulders. Jax: CHANGE IT BACK. Ribbit is totally unphased and grinning. Ribbit: No way! Can't you just humour me for a little bit? We look good! And besides... There's no one else around... Jax (Angrily): You-- He looks around. Jax (cautious): Really? Ribbit: Yep! Just us.
Page 6. The panel zooms out to reveal the pair standing in a completely empty room, the checker-board floor stretching on endlessly. Jax: Huh. He starts to look nervous. Jax: I... I didn't even notice. Ribbit: You see? Everything's gonna be okay. Jax snaps around, suddenly concerned. Jax: What did you just s-- Ribbit snatches his hand. Ribbit: Come on! I still have more to show you! She starts pulling him along, never losing her cool. Jax follows, but looks suspicious.

Check out this awesome "One fear" shirt I just found!" Jax: "That could be literally anyone's." Ragatha enters. Ragatha: "Hey, guys! What are you talking about?" Her shirt says "Leaving the circus and facing reality". Jax's eyes widen. Caine's shirt now says "Two fears."

Jax: You know you're doing it backwards, right? Ribbit drops him.
