I'd just like to say that @marcelias.bsky.social is one of my heroes.

Interestingly, BlueSky doesn't seem to have an accessibility statement. Do you know whether the service has one?
I wish that every GenAI app produced, for every question asked, an account of how much energy & water it used in answering. Or provide an estimate first, and ask whether to proceed.
I am getting very tired of seeing GenAI used just for fun, without regard for the potential environmental impact.
One of my favorite things about marching (well, mostly standing around waiting to resume marching) with @demsabroad.bsky.social on Saturday was answering the question about where I'm from by saying that @raskin.house.gov is my congressman. 😊💙
Dear Microsoft: Please let me disable Outlook's silly editorial comments and suggestions. Thank you. 🙄
Why were they polite about it?
Saint Radegund's Voices are taking Brumel's Lamentations to the Cambs villages. Come hear us at 4pm on Sunday 1 March, at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Harlton. Read director Katie Hawks's thoughts about the programme at saintradegundsvoices.wordpress.com/2025/01/29/s...
Two boxes from an HSBC email. The heading of the left-hand one says "Lost and stolen Right Arrow" and that of the right-hand one says "Try our app Right Arrow". Each has a short paragraph below it, explaining a little about what each area covers. We can only conclude that these refer to images of a right arrow that takes the user to the next step in learning about how to follow these up.
There is only one letter of difference between glute and glut.
There is only one letter of difference between "shared" and "shred". #OneLetterOfDifference
We kinda knew that… 😉
The Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center of the Montgomery County, MD Government has produced a website that provides immigrants and supporters with information about their rights in these tough times. It offers access to guides, cards, flyers, and apps. See www.montgomerycountymd.gov/gilchrist/im...
I've been making coffee in a moka for 35 years, and it was only last week that I realised I could immediately hit the sweet spot in screwing the top onto the bottom, just by aligning the handle with the valve. No faffing.
I'm sure my Italian friends know this, but no one has ever told me. #coffee
Exactly.
And now they've replied to that. They said they were "directed" to remove them. I asked who directed that and said I certainly will contact @raskin.house.gov, Sen. Chris Van Hollen, and Sen. Angela Alsobrooks.
Last year I wrote GSA about the removal of their Inclusive Design Patterns. Today they replied. Said it was mandated by the EO on "Ending Radical and Wasteful…DEI Programs and Preferencing". I said it was IN NO WAY radical or wasteful, and called the EO a travesty. www.linkedin.com/posts/elizab...
I am seriously disappointed in (no, make that "disgusted with") Tim Cook. 🤬🤬🤬 #Apple #sycophant
One thing I like very much about MacOS Tahoe is that the Dock comes up so quickly when I move the pointer to the bottom of the screen.
I have been making my coffee in a moka for 35 yrs, and only last week did I realise that to screw them together without having to fiddle for the sweet spot, one has to set the top on the bottom with handle and valve aligned. 😳
I'm sure all my Italian friends know this, but no one has ever told me.
And requiring "slide" to switch off the alarm? Pure stupidity.
Who is alert enough to swipe when they've just been awakened? Especially when the "snooze" button is so close and is much more prominent!
Hope it goes well!
Denmark said "no", too.
I switched it off before, but the new update doesn't seem to offer a way to do that. 😬
Dear Apple, so far I am not a huge fan of Liquid Glass. And I definitely don't want Apple Intelligence intruding into more aspects of my life. The MS Copilot thing is travesty enough.
I've always thought it was an ugly plaid. Nothing has changed.
The form W9 that's available from irs.gov supports Fill & Sign *except* for the date of the signature. Anyone know how to address this?
The word "kakistocracy" makes me think of government by persimmons. Which seems eerily appropriate…
I love @normeisen.bsky.social. He just said (and I'm paraphrasing here) that the orange felon "has all the follow-through of a tsetse fly." 😆😆😆
A person using a laptop and holding a credit card, with festive holiday lights blurred in the background. Text overlay reads: “Retail’s busiest season is here… But for people with disabilities, barriers to access remain at every stage of the shopping journey: 79% struggled to browse products. 81% found selecting an item difficult or impossible.” Nexer Digital and #TheHiddenJourney branding are visible.
🛒 Retail’s busiest season is now in full swing, but for people with disabilities, navigating shopping journeys can be an experience fraught with barriers.
Our campaign #TheHiddenJourney is a call to action for retailers to prioritise #accessibility in 2026:

The "release the files" bill is the one that really deserves the name "One Big Beautiful Bill".
