1/2 Happy to share our recent publication, led by Lucas Terlinden-Ruhl, which explores #active #learning for probabilistic #compound #flood #risk assessments.
With this approach we can perform comprehensive assessment, accounting for the hazard magnitude, lag time and duration lnkd.in/ezk82rrz
✅We seek contributions of hashtag #opensource tools and workflows striving for improved #transparency, #reproducibility, and #accessibility of all steps of the modeling chain.
🎯We aim to stimulate discussion based on lessons learned from challenges as well as success stories.
We are happy to invite abstracts to the #EGU25 session " #Open and #Transparent Modeling #Workflows for Decision Support"

👍Note that this an Education and Outreach Session for which you're allowed to submit a second regular abstract.
We invite contributions on:
🔥all aspects of natural hazard risk assessment at the #continental to #global scale
🌊the appropriate use of continental to global risk assessment data and methods in #practice
🌎 #globally #applicable methods for using global datasets and models to inform local assessments
📢Kickstart your year by submitting an #EUG25 abstract for session NH9.1 🌍 " #Global and continental scale #risk assessment for natural #hazards: methods and practice"
📆 Abstract submission by January 15 2025

Great list! I'm working on compound floods and would love to be added.
Just 3 more days to submit an abstract to the "Natural Hazards & Risks in a Changing World" conference, June 12-13 (ECR event on the 14th) in Amsterdam!
