🚧Disrupt by embodying utopia!🌟
People react more positively to direct (e.g. bicycle lane) vs indirect (e.g. paint) disruptive traffic actions. Mechanism seems to be access to cognitive alteranatives.

Yes, ideology is definitely more multidimensional than the scale (and the french national assembly) makes us belief.
On this episode of polpsy true crime: the left-right scale hides populists and other ideologies on its midpoint 🥷
Very happy this is finally out!

New pub! 📝
Solidarity with refugees depends on refugee‘s origin and gender. Partly explained through a similarity->threat link. We discuss this as a psychological expression of neocolonial geopolitics.

Normative fit exemplified by a Kebab place in Oslo. Or is it a Trattoria?
Extraordinary scenes in Serbia’s capital Belgrade right now.
Around 500,000 people are on the streets in what may be the biggest protest in Serbian history. All demanding the resignation of President Vučić & his government.
What began as a student protest is now a full democratic uprising.

I knew it was bad, but not this bad. An entire road through the amazon built for the Climate COP! If anyone is wondering whether this might be the COP to avoid, I would say yes.

✏️ New Paper: Prejudice towards (Black/Muslim) refugees predicts fear of crime more strongly than vice versa.
Recent debates about increasing deportation are therefore likely to increase fear of crime, not lower it.

This nicely illustrates why it’s important to think about probability as a useful shortcut that helps understanding reality instead of an objectively „real“ property of the world.

Amazing read.
„Unlike resistance, defense starts with something that you already have, something you love that is worth defending. This sets up a different kind of temporality because you‘re not following the state‘s agenda or terms.“
