Sadly, CTE is the kindest possible explanation here.
Saw MMW in Lisner back in 1998. Nice room, would've been great to see Jerry there.
Latest million dollar idea: clone popular pieces of software exactly, but add a "fuck off forever" button for every pop up notice.
Watching Bridgerton deconstruct itself in S4 is fascinating.
3/14/1982: well, that's different.

Floyd brought out the big guns with Steven Wilson; I'm sure he did a great job.
But all this really says to me is that Floyd didn't record a single one of their 1975 shows, because if they had multitracks or even a stereo soundboard, there's no way in hell they'd be using this.

Further, I have the AUD that became the first Can archival live release (10/31/1975, Stuttgart), and yes, even with all the really well done work of amateur volunteers that goes into live tapes, the intercession of a professional engineer in a professional studio makes a difference.

This is not actually good news.
I've got Millard's recording and it's a great AUD, on par, if not slightly better than, Steve Hopkins's fantastic recording of Boston 6/18/1975. And I know most people aren't tape traders, so this really is new to them.
If you must have one fucked up track on your Commodores LP, Three Times A Lady is the way to go. I can't believe they let that crap on the album; it's like suddenly getting a Lawrence Welk song with no warning after three quality funk tracks.
I spoke too soon. The very, very end of the piece, and I mean literally the last second. . .I'm not a musicologist, but I don't think that chord exists.
I picked up a copy of Ives's Symphony #2 in a thrift store ages ago, and am finally getting around to listening to it. It's pretty and all, but sounds so distressingly normal that I legit checked the label to see if it was some other composer's record in an Ives sleeve (it isn't).
really saw this creepy beaver-like action today, securing(?) the no man's land where the cops were massing, between the TSA overflow chaos & the help desks. yet another uniformed presence i'd strongly rather not encounter while traveling.
For anyone who's noticed how many record highs have been broken lately in the Phoenix area and just said "eh, it's the desert": no it fucking isn't. It's climate change. We were a month early for our first 90 degree day and 2 months early for our first 100+ day. Things are getting worse fast.
We're not going to get serious about climate change. We're going to run right past 2 degrees C and spend the next century or two fighting water wars while tens of millions of people all over the world die of starvation and hordes of deperate climate refugees are machine-gunned at borders.
Was Little Shop of Horrors the first movie of the musical of the movie?
"uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" sums it up for me too.
I am "I love this video" level sick in the head.
Ice officers are getting harassed at airports and that brings me joy at levels you cannot understand. Fuck them.
I do not know this situation. What's going on?
I am obscenely jealous you got to see Ava Mendoza. She's a phenomenal guitarist.
Mesa knows what's up.
One of my theme songs from way back.

-Other than the 1993 gig where Ornette Coleman sat in (which should've happened in the pre-hiatus 1970s, can you even imagine), I'll not be digging further into this era. I do, however, want Ready Or Not so I can have the good '90s songs.
-I so wish I'd been there on 3/18.

-3/18 is far and away the best of the three nights, 3/17 is enjoyable and has some minor highlights, 3/19 was all kinds of meh. Yes, they played Unbroken Chain, but it was a really weak show overall.

-I know it's not entirely his fault, but Vince made so many poor choices regarding his synth sounds.

Most of the songs got competent performances, but good lord, there was no gas in the tank as far as energy was concerned.
-New songs: thumbs up on Eternity, Lazy River Road, and So Many Roads; thumbs down on Samba In The Rain, Way To Go Home, Corrina, and Mathilda.
