Just read a really good article on encountering your shadow self:
You cannot heal what you do not first acknowledge.” — Richard Rohr
“The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely.” — C.G. Jung
Met this brilliant facilitator at the #IAF conference. I’m going to go on Rachelle’s Back of the Room training as sounds fantastic with whole bunch of facilitation tools and neuro science understandings. Looking forward to seeing how this might apply in community development settings
This is such a brilliant organisation led by my good friend @sarahkedwards2017 - good governance is so important for guiding them into the future. Could you be the person passionate about how money can be used in a just way to make for a better world
I love chairing this wonderful organisation- if you’re local to Darlington here’s a chance to get involved and make a difference
Congratulations @bobmaxfieldftb @midlandsbeerblog - I’m pleased for Frank Lampard, he’s done a great job this season. What is needed now for the Premier League?
A brilliant first day at the International Facilitators conference. 130 skilled facilitators with lots of peer learning. I particular enjoyed Ripple Mapping with my good friends Sam and Cat, and session on conversational loops. Feels like a good community of practice to be part of
Loved being reconnected to the Community Treasure Core Team doing some wonderful evaluative reflection on the past 12 months together and the impact our work has had - expected and unexpected
Love working with @pwrightbham since 2007! Really relational, robust and practical conversation around future community developments. As always didn’t get chance to finish so another date out in the diary
Citizens UK in Birmingham Accountability Assembly with main party leaders. Campaign asks around housing, work and bringing people together. What would have been your asks?
Post Citizens event beer
Anyone going this year?

Really enjoyed a paddle down the river this morning. Even Coco grew to like being in the canoe.
Loved taking a day out to facilitate the second day of this Introduction to ABCD course. So brilliant to have really grassroots citizens, community organisations and churches in the room learning and sharing stories with each other
I lost! Family game in holiday cottage
Lovely evening walk to the pub for dinner
Absolutely beautiful day so Ria and I did a 6.5 mile walk along the river with Coco spending some of the time in it!
Lovely afternoon which included one of those wonderful old fashioned sweet shops, a walk by the river and Bakewell pudding to bring home for dinner!
Today I lost the holiday cottage key. All is well as owner had a spare. Got frustrated with myself as common occurrence so took myself off by myself to go and do some reflecting in this beautiful spot. Feel much better. Lesson learnt!
