Continuing thoughts on the new Firefly revival. I had an alternative Firefly timeline roughly thought a long time ago. The recent Firefly animation announcement reminded me of it. Some graphic novels had to become non-canon, though. Here it is.

The recent Firefly revival has made me think about the thoughts I had after watching Serenity. They bugged me.
It did make me find the DVDs, too. Then I remembered I don't have player anymore. Laptop it is.

Some things are worth fighting for. It ain't the places's fault people are in it
He is concerned over property rights over life. Yep, it's on brand
Does he mean 'set prices so that the next administration can't negotiate drug prices'?
He is never around anybody than his yes-community
The next thing they'll claim is that the number of black lung detected has gone down to zero
Which sucker bank was convinced to loan Sketchers money to 'buy itself' (take on debt to pay their VC the privilege to buy them). Bet you most of their shoes are made over seas and subject to tariff, which means lower sales, lower profits.
Given how they bulldozed through everything else, they probably have it already and Elon's minions are repackaging it to be used to teach his AI LLM and for Putin.
Shit falling from the sky. Is God trying to tell you something Christian Trump voters ๐
Entitled much? Too long in Congress, too comfortable with the DC circuit. AOC did it. It's time to step up and have the next generation of representatives before the Orange Dictator figures out so that "you don't have to vote again", if it's not already too late
If it becomes harder to file, it'll be easier to 'find' taxpayers who didn't file properly and fine them. Maybe ship them to El Salvador.
Ah the smell of privatization! TurboTax and QuickBooks stocks should be going up soon
Replace CBS with FoxNews and those rants become factual
They'll pay now because in trump's government, it'll go back straight back into their pockets
It bugs me that people equate stating the facts to blame. To squelch facts from coming out, the act is painted as blame. All those "Don't dwell on past mistakes" people will be condemned to repeat them. The "it doesn't matter anymore" crowd will one day find out it does.
When choosing the right solution, it may not always be the one at the top of your list. Look to the second best, especially if the solution of your choice has issues of it's own.

The small investors can't really move the needle much for the entire market. But the people who can are the 401k fund mangers selling. Could they be in cahoots to drive the stock prices down? Then when it's low enough, they'll buy them back for their new bosses, the billionaires.
Thank goodness you and your family are safe. I guess storms are brewing everywhere. Is FEMA still around or have Elon gotten to them yet?
He just isn't happy people are getting to enjoy life. He thinks he is the only one entitled to do so
Create the problem and blame it on someone else when it doesn't work. Seems to be the way this works.
Then use it to justify creating problems elsewhere.
For some people, this isn't a choice because they've driven their competition out. What we need is an ethical Amazon alternative. I wonder if Costco delivers ๐ค
I'm trying to get more people at work to try LLMs for basic tasks like drafting letters or creating spreadsheets. The fear I get back is 'if this finishes my task sooner, I'll get more work' or 'they'll replace me with it'. I kept thinking: this happened with typewriters. And computers.
And apparently Mission Impossible: DUNE ๐
Throwback to a throwback. Who remembers QEMM and Desqview?
Didn't know why it suddenly crossed my mind until I remembered it wasn't the first time.

So to find joy, look for the positive in people?
Privatization of government services in the 'pursuit' of efficiency and cost-cutting always result in costing more and efficient toll collection for the new owners. Look at places where it went wrong. The privatization always ends up in the friends of the leader, of whom there are currently many.
