In moments like this, we are reminded how precious and fragile life is. May you find strength in one another, comfort in the love that surrounds you, and space to mourn and heal.
Sending heartfelt condolences and love to everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy. 2/2

My heart is heavy hearing of the tragic school shooting in Tumbler Ridge, BC.
To the families grieving unimaginable loss and to a community shaken by violence, please know that you are not alone. People across NL, and across this country, are holding you in our thoughts and in our hearts. 1/2
I had an excellent time at Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador's Holiday Reception this past week. I had some great conversations about the success of our tourism industry and how we can build on that momentum by strengthening and growing it to attract more people to our province.
To Jewish communities here at home and around the world: you are not alone. We stand with you in solidarity, united in our commitment to safety. 3/3
No one should ever fear for their safety while celebrating their faith or gathering with loved ones. This moment requires us to stand firmly against antisemitism and all forms of hate. 2/3
My thoughts are with the Jewish community after the horrific antisemitic attack at a Hanukkah event in Australia. Violence born of hate doesn’t stop with those who experience it firsthand; its consequences are felt across communities and beyond borders. 1/3
The NL NDP is the only party actively prioritizing Pharmacare - it's as simple as that.
📰The House of Assembly remained closed for the fall sitting, but that didn’t stop the NDP from sharing what they say would have been the party’s important question period topics this week. @jimdinn.bsky.social #nlpoli

I had a wonderful morning attending a Tea and Chat with Ms. Williams’ Social Studies class at Brother Rice Junior High. We discussed the role of an MHA, the responsibilities that come with public service, and the importance of supporting the people we represent.
Was on Poppy duty for Branch 1 of the Royal Canadian Legion, St. John’s this weekend. Don’t forget to get yours and support our veterans.
Feeling deeply grateful and honoured to be sworn in for the third time as the MHA for St. John’s Centre. Serving this incredible district continues to be the greatest privilege.
A heartfelt thank you to my loving family for standing by me every step of the way. 😊
Congratulations to Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani for leading an invigorating and hopeful campaign grounded in community and a vision for a more inclusive, affordable, and equitable future.
Together, we will stand with our neighbours and support one another as we move forward.
My heart goes out to the workers and the entire community of St. Mary’s after the devastating loss of the fish plant last night. This is a difficult time for so many, but I have every confidence in the strength, resilience, and compassion that define our communities.
My sincere congratulations to Kate White and the Yukon NDP on being elected as the Official Opposition last night.
Now more than ever, strong New Democratic voices are needed to stand up for people, demand accountability, and fight for a fair and equitable future.

Seven months ago, the Liberals said cutting the HST from home heating couldn’t be done.
They blocked you from saving money — just so they could campaign on it later.
If I’d known it would take an election for them to act, I would’ve called for one every week.
Thank you to Yvette Coffey and the team at @rnunl.bsky.social for having me on the Scrubbing In and Speaking Out podcast to discuss the NDP’s position on issues directly impacting their members and truly all healthcare workers.

Today, Sheilagh O'Leary and I announced the NDP commitment to removing the provincial HST from all forms of home heating. Not just electricity, but wood, oil, and propane. We would keep the $500 oil rebate in place to ensure that we are getting more money back into peoples pockets.
I had an excellent time out canvassing in Arnold's Cove with our candidate for Placentia West-Bellevue Jasmine Paul. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak to us. I know that Jasmine will be a strong voice for the people of this district.
That’s why today, along with Henry House, NDP candidate for Conception Bay East–Bell Island, I announced that an NDP government will phase out for-profit shelters and reinvest in the non-profits that are doing the work people in this province need.
We should have a government that prioritizes the people of this province above all else.
We’ve got people who are trying to help through non-profits but they just aren’t getting the support from the government – the Liberals are choosing to prioritize for-profits corporations.
Education for all.
Thank you MUNSU, MUNFA, CFS, and all involved in today's march to bring back the tuition freeze.
Memorial University, the students, faculty, and workers, are our future. It's time for a government that recognizes that, not with words, but with actions.
We have heard heartbreaking stories over the last number of years about senior couples being split up when entering long-term care.
That is why the NDP committed to bringing in new legislation that prioritizes couples being placed together in long-term care.
Join students in solidarity at the Day of Action tomorrow, 12 p.m. at the Clock Tower.
Today is a day to reflect, to learn, and to continue fighting for justice for Indigenous people and communities.
I hope to see you at the First Light Rally at 2pm today.
Today I announced the NDP's commitment to raising the First Time Home Buyers Program from $1500 to $3000 so that more people can make their dream of owning a home a reality.
They put their own politics ahead of helping families save money.
You deserve a better deal.
