Some offside calls - especially a few at the end - were admittedly frustrating. But the ref was decent enough. We can't blame him.

That was what I kept thinking - they seemed to predict our moves.

We needed the 3 points, but Bristol made it really hard. They seemed to read our press, invite it and play through it until the changes. We did eventually get on top and were the most likely winners late on. But you don't always get the break to win it.

Hard not to feel a bit deflated by that, but that's a sign of how far we've come. Hodgson gave us a tough test, we've come from behind twice and could easily have won it late on. #SaintsFC

Probably time to sub Downes and Charles before we get a red. #SaintsFC

Wily Hodgson seems to be posing a lot of problems for #SaintsFC. Bristol City seem to be inviting our press at their own pace then easily playing through us. So what has Tonda got?

GTFI! 1-2. Archer, again! #SaintsFC

Larin was amazing. I just think it's will benefit Archer more. First time I've seen him look like he believed in himself for a long time. Carry on like this and this could be his turning point.

Hard to begrudge Archer MotM tonight as he gave everything, made one and happily, scored one. Tonda is coacting him back to form.

That said, how many Cyle Larins were on the pitch tonight - 2 or 3?

Great win from behind for Tonda's #SaintsFC

Yes, we have excellent players, but Eckert provides the platform for them to show that.

Superb squad performance again for Eckert's #SaintsFC Finn Azaz stood out and seems to grow with every game.

Flynn Downes put that chance away very nicely. All about calmly executing the shot, rather than trying to blast it. #SaintsFC #WRESOU

Get in! Matsuki and his Incredible Invisibility Cloak strike again. #SaintsFC

Yep, he was the comedy appointment without a punchline.

Yep, Manning seems to have simplified his game under Eckert, and now, finally looks like a defender. With his dead-ball quality, he too packs an attacking threat. Under Eckert every player seems to actually be improving, getting proper coaching.

Yep, Peretz has been key to the revival. The defence look confident about crosses and long range shots again.

Exactly. Almost the same squad as others had, but totally different results, feeling, everything. So much due to his leadership.

If there's a player nickname in current use, I haven't heard it.

Yep, he's not the sort of RB that flies into the box all the time, so when we had our crazy 3-5-whatever phase he wasn't quite right, but he brings crosses, corner delivery and decent shooting from range. So glad Eckert saw his value.

Just a word for #SaintsFC Right-back James Bree. How did managers took a look at this guy and decide he wasn't worth keeping in the squad? Been so good since Eckert brought him back..

Thank you Tonda Eckert. Always proud of #SaintsFC the club, but you made us proud of the team again. Wonderful work.

Perhaps it is, now that you've discovered it?

Definitely won't be going. Will probably watch some though because
a) football addict and
b) morbid curiosity at how joyless it can be, and
c) I quite enjoy seeing commentators try to tell us that a joyless farce is something else.

Sadly Radio4Today lost its way, and its will to Tufton Street and corporate lobbyists, at least a decade ago. Once a current affairs role model, here's pretty much no public benefit to it now.

I literally said to someone before that, 'now we've started passing for the sake of it'. We stopped looking for an opportunity to progress the attack every time it went into midfield. It immediately improved when Rogers went central.
