I… have questions.

Exactly. Denominators reflect values.
What a great line up!
Sounds so cute!
Yes, descriptive studies can compare groups. (Different from comparing actions, as in causal studies).
everything is so shitty, read this story about a genuinely good man who saw he had an opportunity to save millions of lives and threw himself into doing so. the world is full of heroes like him.
I know this is beside the point and not the biggest problem here, but ... *don't*
Congratulations!
My least favorite type of missing data problem.
No? But I’d love to learn more. Can you share details?
Thanks! I think I’m sorted out for now but hope our paths cross in the future!

đź‘‹ @bikeshopgirl.bsky.social!! Any recs on CH/Carrboro area shops that do good work on e-cargo bikes?
Sounds lovely. Very jealous of your bike accessibility but I would miss the hills!
Also! I didn't think i would want an e-bike. But, the bike is already heavy, and once loaded with kids/stuff it is really nice to have extra power on the hills, especially when commuting (ie times it is less appropriate to show up drenched in sweat).
I'd try to ride as many as possible to get a sense of what you want. I did not take this advice though (not many places to try them around here - or if there are obviously I don't know about them). But I love my Xtracycle.
(Many months ago I asked this question on the Other Site, but then left that site before recording the answers. Apologies to anyone I inadvertently ignored!)
Chapel Hill/Carrboro Cargo Bike People: is there a good local bike shop that works on e-cargo bikes? Currently stumped by an issue with my daily commuter.
Part of this will likely depend on making that block of weaver st a viable option for cycling to work and school (I.e. not option 1 which requires cyclists to dismount).
!!!!!
Best news of 2025, easily. Even if it is just a maybe.
Burn it down!!
I mean, if we want the ideal we would get to see all potential outcomes for everyone. Since we can’t do that under current physical laws, we randomize for exchangeability. But I wouldn’t call that ideal!
Obviously “everyone” means “the entire target population”. Not everyone in The Whole World because that would be unrealistic.
If we want “ideal”: 1) give everyone the first intervention and perfectly measure outcomes on everyone, and then 2) go back in time to give everyone the other intervention and perfectly measure their outcomes again, and then 3) compare.
And I see you were humble about it ;)
A sign on a telephone pole stating “we ask everyone outside of the car to be safe so that drivers can be dangerous”
Ahem, at least 2.
There is at least 1 in Carrboro. Will try to get a photo on my next ride by
We have turned America into a parking lot—1.31 billion parking spots or 4.76 for every car, to be precise—and it has made us sick and poor.
Public health policy has a real stake in parking policy.

Correct.
Can completely commiserate. Good luck with the replacement. I feel like avoiding driving to that extent means you are doing something right!
