Yeah I had very rigid beliefs about food (from my French upbringing) and it backfired so much my autistic kid ended up in the hospital with malnutrition and severe weight loss. ARFID is a beast.

It's always let's go back to slavery, let's go back to women as property with no rights, let's go back to a time before vaccines... never let's go back to aristocratic heads rolling 😔

Sad to see the Ides of March becoming commercialised like this. I really feel like we're losing track of the true spirit of the holiday. It's not about how many knives you can stick in a tyrant all at once, it's about the whole community coming together to stab the tyrant as many times as possible.

Nothing to Declare Making big public statements is always fun and people who think themselves to be important love doing it as a way of trying to influence public opinion and/or politics. They are a way for institutions...

By @tante.cc who is on point as always.

"So there is a new declaration in town called the “The Pro-Human AI Declaration“...before we go into the details, let’s look at who is pushing this for a second because the declaration keeps talking about how broad their coalition is"

Kafka understood that an even greater indignity than being turned into a giant insect was still being required to go to work afterward.

Great job by everybody who let their state reps know a $550M tax break for the biggest corporations in the world shouldn’t have been part of an historic income tax bill.

This was a fight, and working Washingtonians won.

i am glad to be a trans person on hrt. being trans is awesome and incredible and anyone persecuting trans people is hell's own jackass. gender should be a playground not a prison camp with barbed wire around it

The threat of detention warehouses harkens back to one of our most shameful periods as a nation, when warehouses were used for Japanese American incarceration in the 1940s, which caused immense suffering and generational trauma. It was wrong then and it is wrong now.

Advocating for no AI moderation is advocating to traumatize moderators over and over. It means no proactive moderation.

How about, to commemorate, we close the concentration camps we have and block the ones we’re building.

All this does is fuel transphobic parental fears that listening to their child, taking them seriously and respecting them is somehow indulgent and harmful. And fuel efforts to suppress and punish children for trans gender expression.

I was back in federal court today. They’re still prosecuting me — my trial date is May 11th — but we’re pressing for evidence discovery.

Because someone is “unreasonably obstructing the usual use” of the immigration court at 26 Federal Plaza. But it’s ICE, not me. And the evidence will prove it.

I understand the reasons why it’s more jarring and consequential to see it happen among billionaires, but the kind of shrugging disinterest or impishly approving encouragement of sexual abuse among Epstein’s circle is the same dynamic that happens in less powerful milieus.
