BIP students attended Ioana Dorobanțu-Gordon's presentation Framing the City: Urban Space in Documentary Film and wrapped up with a workshop and assessment exploring the intersections between space and performance in cinema 🎬

During today's last session, team member @juliaecheverria.bsky.social analysed performance and gender roles in Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things 🎦

Students answered various discussion questions about the film and examined its characters 📽️

As part of the BIP activities, students have attended the screening of Samer Angelone's Lupi Nostri 🐺

Set in an Italy polarised between wolf-defenders and wolf-opponents, a soon-to-be-retired professor is torn between saving sheep and saving their predators 🐑🎬

Drawing on the writings of Joan Didion, he's been examining identity, and analysing the films Meek’s Cutoff and Lady Bird 🎞️

We really enjoyed it!🤩

She has provided practical examples from films such as Sleepless in Seattle, Working Girl, They Came Together, Annie Hall, Enchanted, or When Harry Met Sally... among others 🫶🎬
