Not for nothing, but how, exactly, is it legal to send people for *punishment* in a foreign prison (esp with no due process)? Were the funds being used for it appropriated for this purpose? I feel this has just become a thing no one questions

I love this! ๐๐ป
"He's a GENIUS!"
They are obviously slow learners
The key line is, "in the custody of a foreign sovereign."
The Administration isโpredictablyโtreating SCOTUS as having upheld its legal theory that the moment it sells a body to Nayib Bukele, it can't retrieve it because he has _permanent_ custody of it.
And that's how the slave trade works, folks.
BREAKING: As expected, and consistent with all the PROOF reporting from the past week, the Trump administration has now _refused to follow court orders_ in the Abrego Garcia case.
Major media misinformed the public by telling them that the Supreme Court ruling in the case was a win for rule of law.
Took them a while, didnโt it? Not exactly the brightest bulbs in the chandelier.
Not a single word to help the 33m small businesses in this country. Not from anyone in the administration.
So many buy from China, and don't have alternatives.
So many didn't have the cash to front run the tariffs and buy inventory

Every time you see someone powerful acting like a craven coward in the face of this authoritarian menace, let it stiffen your own spine. We are all we've got.
3/ The Kremlin announced that Russia and the United States will hold another round of talks in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia on March 24, and it is unclear whether these talks will include Ukraine. isw.pub/UkrWar032025
2/ Russia, Ukraine, and the United States have not yet concluded the details of the moratorium against energy infrastructure strikes. The Ukrainian strike against Engels Airbase would not have been subject to this moratorium in any event because it is a military target.
NEW: Ukrainian forces recently advanced in Belgorod Oblast and near Pokrovsk, and Russian forces recently advanced near Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, Pokrovsk, and Velyka Novosilka.

I suspect we're not far from judges getting murdered and Trump pardoning their killers.
But there's no Constitutional crisis, right?
I needed that giggle today, thank you ๐
This is because Musk used all the really sticky glue to adhere himself to trump.
No amount of appreciation for this post could ever be sufficient.
Absolutely magisterial composition.

Pritzker: "He promised he was gonna lower costs & make us safer. He's done none of it. I realize he's only been in office 2 weeks, but it's gotten worse, not better. You think grocery prices have gone down? No, they've gone up bc of what he's threatening or what he's already put in place"
I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.
Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. Itโs not intellectually superior. Itโs the virus theyโre trying to infect us with. NO
*I know it wonโt go anywhere. THATโS NOT THE POINT.
The point is to document, immediately and in real time, constitutional transgressions and abuse of power.
Immediacy matters: Had Merrick Garland, for ex, appointed a SC on Day 1 to review everything Trump did, things could be different now
Here are the options on the table (which are not mutually exclusive):
1. House Dems bring articles of impeachment*
2. Senate Dems play constitutional hardball and obstruct everything
3. State AGs litigate (and prosecute) everything they can
4. Citizens march en mass
