Had this happen to me - they literally used AI to generate an image of the specimen, from the image that's in our paper...

I saw an article from my recent paper that had an AI generated image that was just one of the figures from the paper.

In it, we concluded that the fossil must have belonged to an early theropod of the Late Triassic, possibly a Coelophysoid, by ruling out other potential clades. In the end, we stuck with the informal name carried by the specimen, as to avoid confusion in the future.

A bit late, but our re-assessement of the infamous "Zanclodon cambrensis" is now out, and open access.
