All of this is what CNN, WaPo, NYT, etc. wanted. They wanted this. They want chaos and insanity because it drives views and clicks. That's why they relentlessly sanewashed Dear Leader and Project 2025.

I had this exact same experience with one of my favorite book series: The Pelbar Cycle by Paul O. Williams. I couldn't get into it at first and now over the years I've read the series through several times.

Of course, the NYT would never cite this lunacy as an example of Dear Leader's cognitive decline. For the Grey Lady, any Trump insanity is just "outlandish".. at worst.
I don't click on NYT links since they are no longer a reputable news organization. But I bet dollars to doughnuts that this article doesn't mention TACO Trump gutting weather tracking. I guess so he can show us with his sharpie.

For some reason, this exchange as stuck with me.
The Times and other legacy media new this was going to happen. They wanted it, which is why they sanewashed Dear Leader. They wanted to do these crisis articles to drive clicks and views, but make no mistake. This is what they wanted.
This is all part of the legacy media's playbook. Sanewash and prop up Trump for the election and then get clicks and views through "crisis" articles in a chaotic situation in which they themselves are complicit. I won't reward them for their self-serving support of Nazis.
The NYT itself is complicit in this. "Crisis" articles and histrionics for clicks is exactly what they wanted when they sanewashed and propped up Dear Leader for re-election.

Yeah, this is a bad plan. If only for the reason that the Russians love asymmetrical warfare where they support "insurgents" (in reality Russian troops) in a "disputed" region, and the conflict just goes along for years, eating away. It would just cause a lot of debate and hand-wringing inaction.

It's extremely disingenuous for the Times to print something like this. All this chaos and evil is exactly what they wanted and worked for by sanewashing Trump, so we'd have constant click-bait stories like this. They're complicit. They don't get to pretend at democracy now.
