Question for SENCOS, when a school (primary) has a residential planned at what point do you make plans for it to be inclusive. Ie if you have child with EHCP with sensory issues, and, demand avoidant. Known to not manage a coach on previous trips, known to have trouble accessing toilets etc

by almost 70% in the same time period.

In primary schools, nearly 90% of those permanently excluded over the past five years also have SEND

Primary school pupil suspensions in England double in a decade - BBC News Mum Jo says Jacob is very caring but sensory issues led to him being excluded for disruptive behaviour.

There were 84,300 suspensions in primary schools in 2022/23. It has DOUBLED in 10 years.

The rate of permanent exclusions has also increased….
