6/ So today I learned I’ve been cancelling Amazon subscriptions since before Amazon existed. Quite the achievement. 📦
5/ She checked again and confirmed the system says I cancelled in 1970. In the end she refunded the cost of both items instead.
4/ I said, “1970? I wasn’t alive… and I’m pretty sure Amazon didn’t exist.”
3/ So I rang Amazon. The agent apologised and offered to refund a month of Prime… then said she couldn’t because apparently I cancelled it in January 1970.
2/ A moment later I get the notification saying my items had been “handed to the resident.” Interesting definition of “handed”
1/ Well that was surreal. Amazon just “delivered” two parcels… by leaving them on the doorstep in full view of the street. We were at home. No knock, no attempt at the letterbox, despite a parcel box outside.. 🧵

Building on what I’d learned at Rock FM, I’ve also been fortunate to work with some truly brilliant and talented colleagues, and I really appreciate their help and support. Sure, the BBC isn’t perfect, but we’re lucky to have it, and I’m proud to play my small part in it. (3/3)
with bits of BBC 5 Live, BBC Business, BBC CNS News for England and launching one of the first BBC social media news services in between. From the most awful news and tragedies to brilliant, fun stories, I’ve been lucky to meet some amazing people. (2/3)
I’ve been working at the BBC for 25 years today.
From Radio Leeds, reading the news across Yorkshire on ancient equipment that really should have been in a museum even then (and now is!), to Radio Manchester and North West Tonight – (1/3)
Adding some fireworks to our closing titles to celebrate 2026.
Happy New Year.
More Christmas Cracker stuff, from the same pack that included a weird black plastic ball (see previous posts) - this trivia almost ruined Christmas for my still Santa believing 8 year old.
Ooh. Good shout
Hi BlueSky. Can you help solve this Christmas mystery?
A gift in a cracker. A hard plastic black ball. Three white-ish spots on one side, one white-ish spot on the other. No instructions, nothing else with it. Any ideas what it is or what it’s supposed to do?
Best wishes to you too.
Surely the 6am is one junction that you could “accidentally” forget to take control for and leave it to London?!
Merry Christmas 🎄
He’s back. He’s been.
It’s the black bin bag of Christmas wrapping paper recycling!
Best wishes for a nice day and thank you if you’re working today.

I did and they told me to “rack off” and I drove away in my ‘Ute’
Tortoise and Hare are now the speed icons in #Apple CarPlay.
So… if I pick the tortoise, does the #podcast finish sooner because slow and steady wins the race? 🐢🏁🐇
Proud to play my part in a great team.
Fantastic news for Roger too.

@dirtyfeed.org I think you must have the best 404 page on the Internet. Loving the 404 Jam Jingle!
Great front cover on this week’s Beano comic
Great to see Wallace and Gromit close up at the reopened refurbished Harris Museum in Preston.
