Wrexham win and are promoted! Three promotions in three years. Racecourse is erupting. Absolute scenes.
Wrexham are up 3-0!
Racecourse chanting “we are going up!”
Every time Jamie Vardy or some other big name is linked to @wrexhamafc.co.uk then there is more pressure for @vancityreynolds.bsky.social to do another Deadpool movie. Those players won’t come cheap.
This is not exactly elegant football. But @wrexhamafc.co.uk seem to be getting the job done.
Sitting in a Montreal hotel watching @wrexhamafc.co.uk If the lads win today, where is the promotion party? Up and down Rue Ste-Catherine?
Squeaky bum time?
Well said.
Agreed. I wanted to see both get minutes in these games.
1957 - Canada has recorded its first win over the USMNT in a competitive match on American soil since a World Cup Qualifying victory in St. Louis in 1957. Consolation.
A deserved 4th place finish for the #USMNT at the Concacaf Nations League. Deserved. 🇺🇸
Panama defeat the United States 1-0 to reach the Concacaf Nations League final thanks to a dramatic late goal from Cecilio Waterman, who celebrated with Thierry Henry. Video via Concacaf.
This is so short-sighted. Surely another CB would like more minutes. And imagine if he gets a more significant injury and has to miss more time for Spain? Why take the risk? *Sigh*
This is a bullet point from Working Together for Atlantic Canada: An Action Plan for Regional Co-operation, 2001-2003. These ideas have been around for a long time but for various reasons they were never fully implemented.
So, it's interesting that the push for a free trade zone in Atlantic Canada is coming back: www.cbc.ca/news/politic...
Agreed. It was harsh. My immediate reaction was a red but then on the replay I saw how far he was from goal and the proximity of the other defender. I get the call. But it was harsh. Hopefully there isn’t an “even up” call.
Looking for some excellent post-game analysis, Jeff Marek does a great job here: www.cbc.ca/player/play/...
Anyway, I will always cheer for the Carleton Ravens and in particular their women’s basketball team.
But when I started writing for the Charlatan student newspaper, I covered the women’s basketball team. They lost every game. That made me want to cover every game until they won.
It was definitely a career highlight even though I had to find ways to write about losses.
This story is amazing for a few reasons. Of course, sustained excellence should be celebrated and it’s great to see it from Carleton.

Just wait. You will incite all the Aaron-Sorkin-is-overrated people. They are like Swifties, but hate hallway walk-and-talks.
@stadio.bsky.social @ryanhunn.bsky.social @okwonga.bsky.social Thoughts on Casey Stoney taking over for the Canadian women’s national team? How much impact can she have? I’m thinking about the impact of Emma Hayes on the USWNT and trying to gauge the possible effect. www.cbc.ca/sports/olymp...
Attention @raydoesdata.bsky.social
When I started covering New Brunswick politics in 2001, it was just assumed every premier got two majority governments. Since that time, only Bernard Lord has won a second majority government ... and that was by 18 votes.
