Psst. We’re working on getting recognition for Mineral Cup & need some help.
If we can pull it off, it’s warm-fuzzies for our volunteers, but it also opens doors for having the resources to do some neat things for the 10th Mineral Cup (how is that on the horizon??)

Happy Sunday night timeline cleanse!
Learning about car dependency radicalized me on so many other issues
And I thought my 52x16 was a bit extreme 😅
Takes a whole block to get up to speed, then you definitely beat traffic...
Same goes for every "genius" academic or scholar.
you do not have to hand it to tucker carlson or marjorie taylor greene or alex jones or megyn kelly. they're all rats who see trump as a sinking ship and they're getting ready to jump in preparation for their next act. you do not have to fall for it.
Welcome to the United States, where car dependency means spending increasing amounts of money to fill your car with gas so you can get to the job that provides your health insurance
A freezer glacier table! Haha
I guess less exchange of gas where the coin sits.
My ice cubes have been disappearing hard in the freezer gonna try this.
gas too expensive because some moron decided to start a war with Iran? rather than tax breaks at the pumps, let's reduce consumption with free transit, subsidies on e-bikes, tax breaks on bike purchases and supplies, investment in cycling infrastructure...
Our Military, the greatest and most powerful (by far!) anywhere in the World, hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran. Bridges next, then Electric Power Plants! New Regime leadership knows what has to be done, and has to be done, FAST! President DONALD J.TRUMP
Trump is committing war crimes in Iran and is threatening more and worse ones. His entire war strategy at this point is war crimes. A functional Congress would be far down the road of impeachment and removal.
Finally! 😅

The vibe-coding of journalism...
Aka, lazy slop content creation.
1. The largest medical organization in the United States, the American Medical Association, has reaffirmed that gender affirming care for trans youth is medically necessary.
It disavowed the New York Times reporting.
Incredible development for trans youth.

While overall crime continues to trend down, traffic fatalities more than tripled year-over-year up to Q3 2025.
Remember this come the October municipal election when certain predictable narratives about crime start emerging.
A little preview of what we saw yesterday at the auto show. While sadly no one would speak with us on camera, we had some great conversations about road and vehicle safety. Excited to share more soon.
Shout out to @thewaroncars.bsky.social who inspired us to do this!

Ya know, I started to include the following statement in everything I write these days.
"No AI, generative or otherwise, was used in this work and all awkward phrasing, misplaced semi-colons and poorly commented code are solely attributed to the lead authors discretion and poor taste."

Wtf!? These cuts are huge... This can't be good on the long run.
🤯
That's the definition of democracy in Switzerland... And proper integration is extremely challenging there.
Things are apocalyptic for science in the US. It might not seem that way to everyone because many academic scientists have tenure and get to keep their jobs (for now), and most grants last three years, so many scientists still have funding. But it's going to get way worse.
Bar chart titled "Matters of Scale" comparing proposed US research budget cuts to the European Union's €500-million (US$571-million) "Choose Europe" fund. The chart shows: * National Institutes of Health (NIH): $8 billion in cancelled grants and $18 billion in proposed cuts by 2026 (long orange bar). * National Science Foundation (NSF): $5.1 billion in proposed cuts by 2026 (shorter orange bar). * EU's Choose Europe fund: $571 million (very short blue bar). The graphic highlights that the EU fund is much smaller in scale compared to the US budget cuts. Text above the chart explains the EU’s intention to attract US researchers in response to policy decisions by the convicted felon and rapist Donald Trump.
If people think American scientists are somehow going to land in Europe, I've got news for you about the difference between millions and billions.

It's hard to explain how dire the situation is, and it doesn't feel like a lot of people are hearing it.
And it won't be bad just in the US, it will have ripple effects (tsunami waves more appropriate) everywhere.
The problem seems to go a bit beyond that. There are no clear distinctions in the industry
