Imagine receiving website content from a potential client via FB Messenger.
The FIRST contact they make with you is spam images of different hairstyles.
Yes, that happened to me back in my web design days (2016). We did not end up working together.
Have you experienced a bigger red flag? Lol.

It’s almost ready.
“How to pitch copywriting to your web design clients”
Just working on finalising the email sequence….the actual PDF is finished.
Watch out for the link dropping soon 🙌😁
I'm sharing the what, the why AND the how for this one 🤭
What’s your opinion on giving away too much in a free lead magnet?
I fear my new lead magnet might be doing just that —giving too much away.
Is that possible? Do think certain things should be kept secret in business?
Or should I just go for it?
🤔😉
I read for work every day, never for frivolous pleasure.
Until...
I bought this old classic a couple of days ago, now I’m hooked.
My AI twin sounds like Nancy from Oliver Twist 😂😂😂😂😂
Perfectionism can be a blessing or a curse.
For the last few years I’ve been working on making mine a blessing 😇
If collaboration is a two-way street
working with a copywriter is a four-lane motorway.
Communication must be amplified at every step.
Aww cute
😂
😁
Absolutely smashed a client call today.
The final part of a little package I put together for her, including:
- website and Instagram audit
- story brand (she knew her message, just needed help making it clearer)
- content wireframe
and a strategy session.
All for the insane price of £250.
Want to write better lead-generation content?
Submerge yourself in the problem your ideal client is suffering with.
Feel it. Deeply.
Well Bluesky,
I’ve been here seven days now and I’m still posting.
See...it's not just another “bandwagon”
I really love chatting with web designers (and web agency owners) it's probably my favourite thing to do.
I think the ad was silly clickbait to be honest—overinflated results.
“Design a 20K website for free”
I’m paraphrasing because I can't remember the exact headline I saw, but obviously I was intrigued so I clicked the Facebook Ad.
Apparently you can design a 20K website with AI now.
Gosh, I bet you’re all scared 🤔
The problem is:
Popular website builders make out that creating a website is easy.
That anyone can do it.
But actually, it's not easy.
That's why web designers, developers, graphic designers, brand photographers, SEO experts and copywriters exist.
It’s the weeeeeeeekend.......
The game-changer question...
What do you see others doing in your industry that you would never do?
Answer this question of you want your copy to be more impactful.
But don’t name and shame.
Be kind.
Instead, flip the answer so you’re showing off positive qualities.
Woohoo, I’m almost finished writing a new lead magnet for you!
✔️ Yes it will be free
✔️ Yes you will have to give me your email adress in return (that's how marketing works ;)
✔️ Yes it's extremely valuable for web designers (who often struggle with content)
Are you as excited as meeeeee?!!
Yay! Thanks Chris
@bengoodmanuk.bsky.social
😂😂😂😂😂 you’re funny.
I’m not a judger and I’m the Queen of typos, so you should be fine.
I have this on Audible. It's a good one.
Helloooo!! 👋
Hello new followers 👋
I’m sharing content on the following topics:
- Website copywriting
- Copywriting process
- Client boundaries
- Customer service
- Website industry
Plus a few personal posts (aka my verbal 💩)
If any of that sounds interesting sick around! 😁✍️👩🔬
That's really great advice
Absolutely. Unfortunately, so many web people struggle with this—then the wheels come off.
Cute!
One thing that you can do to improve customer service (and your portfolio)
is provide clear project timelines.
Specifically for collecting/signing off content.
Then enforce them.
What else?
