PSA: Avoid @stubhub.bsky.social. When they can't deliver what you bought, they'll hide replacement seat details, stick you with inferior seats, and refuse refunds. File credit card disputes immediately if this happens to you. They're counting on people just accepting the scam. 6/6
This violates California consumer protection laws (Bus. & Prof. Code 22500+) that require ticket sellers to actually have the tickets they're selling. StubHub is basically running a bait-and-switch operation with deliberately hidden seat info. 5/6
Their customer service just kept repeating "it's our policy" and "there's nothing we can do." I didn't agree to buy worse seats - I agreed to buy SPECIFIC seats behind home plate that they couldn't deliver. That's called breach of contract. 4/6
When I tried to cancel (since I didn't get what I paid for), they said NO. Their "solution"? I have to try to resell these terrible seats myself and eat any losses. How is this legal?? 3/6
Here's the scam: The replacement tickets had NO "view from seats" photo or seat map link. I had to accept blindly. Only AFTER accepting did I discover they moved me from behind home plate to a corner of the outfield! Same price, vastly worse seats. 2/6
๐งต THREAD: My @stubhub.bsky.social nightmare and why their "replacement ticket" process is legalized theft.
Just bought tickets for an SF Giants game on StubHub. Good seats behind home plate, paid a premium. Then StubHub says "sorry, those aren't available" and offers "equivalent" replacements. 1/6
