Four Core Considerations: Authenticity: Did what only they couldโve come to do, honors those inspirations or guides when present, and overall takes care with creation. Imagination: Speculative to the bone, built dat worldโswimmin in it. Wow Factor: Engages, connected, immersed. Language: Thereโs musicality and/or flow to verse, unique usage of words, pleasantly surprised by verbiage and word choice. Beneath this text: two hands crossing over a heart, a dragon spiraling around a gear, wow emoticon beside someone signing thank you with a sunburst medallion behind, and finally a speech bubble with musical notes.
When we open to subs May 16, we'll be searching for 3 poemsโpublication in July, September, and November. To guide and ease review process, we've crafted a rubric rooted in our four core values.

Excerpt of unedited published poem wheat fields After the smoke clearsโ& liberation has cost us too much we gather the seeds they wanted to extinguish out of us & begin to rebuild they tried to disintegrate our dreams uproot us from our motherlands on occasion they succeeded but even when the moon is eclipsed it shows itself again & so we rise
