I was thinking of you yesterday. Sorry this happened (been there, cleaned that), but hooray for quick maintenance response and nearby moms.

Every other time I’ve ordered this I’ve received 2, but “today it’s just one” per the CM at the window. Oh well, it was every bit as tasty as before, I just deliberately paid cash instead of using a credit because I wanted two before they’re off menu again. 1st world problems.

Boo shrink-flation! This is the fantastic tostada from Studio Catering Co. at DCA, one of their Lunar New Year offerings. The portion was 1 if you used a Sip & Savor credit, or
2 if you bought it as an entree. Guess they’re running low this last weekend of the Festival, because the entree is now 1.

Pinewood Derby season. In our Cub Scout pack we encourage parents to build and race their own cars, and let their kids do the work on theirs (as it should be). Here’s my design for tomorrow’s race.

Someone has recently signed my public email address up for mailings from Laura Geller, Madison Reed and Torrid. So… you’re saying I need a makeover? What an odd thing to do.

Donate to Aid for Fire-Affected Family, organized by Leo Luster My girlfriend lost her house and majority of belongings in the Eaton canyon wildfire and this … Leo Luster needs your support for Aid for Fire-Affected Family

Boosting the signal. There will be thousands of these in the coming days and weeks. This one is legitimate, and is organized by someone I’ve known since before he was born. The beneficiaries lost almost everything in the Eaton fire in SoCal.

I’ve been thinking about you all night. I have a firefighter friend on the Eaton fire. Small worlds, indeed. I hope you and yours in LCF are ok.

Some of the mocktails at the Vista Parkside Marketplace in Downtown Disney are made with Seedlip N/A “spirits,” and they were lovely. Full review to come on @mouseplanet.bsky.social , but this non-drinker is a big fan.

They wash their hands, change their gloves, open a new container of ice cream, pull a clean new scoop and prepare my cup away from the potential allergens. Everything is done in plain sight. I *love* everything about them. (Now come to Bluesky so I can tag you!!!)

My requisite shout-out to Salt & Straw Ice Cream. January is their dairy-free flavors series, which means almost everything is made with coconut, my top allergen. Even so, I feel truly safe eating here because they take SUCH CARE scooping for people with allergies.

I think of you every time LA goes into EOC mode. I hope you have a peaceful shift.

I was today years old when I realized that the Anaheim Ducks “D” logo is a duck foot.

In case there was any further question why I’m not a graphic artist. 🙄

All season I’ve wondered what the Starbucks Cran Merry Orange refresher would taste like as a hot drink, and today I finally found a store that had the ingredients and was willing to make it for me. Oh. My. Heck. It’s even better than I hoped. 12/10, would add to menu.

Many of us were, TBH. Maybe “expecting” is too strong of a word. Desperately wishing for?

One of these games I want to see the refs take the ice for their warm up and just shock everyone with an axel or a toe loop. Maybe a little sit spin. Just something to mix things up.

Wondering if the Anaheim Ducks are coming over to Bluesky this season.

If that isn’t the answer it is now.

Love it. Great sleuthing!

But no random punctuation, so there’s that.

Not you bringing up the “Lightyear” debate.

Can do!

I’ve always wondered if you had both team logos ready to go, like they do with playoff merchandise. And then send the losing team’s sign to a 3rd world country, like they also do with playoff merchandise? 🤷🏻‍♀️

You already know you’re absurdly talented, and I’m grateful we still get to enjoy your work. I hope great things are coming your way.

Did you art direct the whole holiday package? I heard guests and CMs GUSHING over the decor when I was there Wednesday. Whoever did it, it’s delightful. The lobby trees are an especially fun scavenger hunt.

I was Time's "Person of the Year" in 2006. It's not really that big of a deal.

(Totally stolen from a friend)

Just gutted reading about the death of a woman I don’t believe I ever met, though we likely attended some of the same events. Food allergies are so hard, and I’m always concerned for my friends & family who have serious ones. I hurt for Dominique’s friends and family. There aren’t words.

I was shocked to find they don’t even do the Missions project anymore (at least not in my district). I wish there was more local history. We need an @lainaminute.bsky.social module for elementary school - there’s so much the kids should know.

The Scouts are always excited when I show them photos and they recognize the Trolley from DCA. The parents are usually surprised that the sub plot of Who Framed Roger Rabbit was based on something that really existed in Los Angeles.
