This was my first actual Souls game by title. I've not played 1 or 2, but I have played Elden Ring.

I played The First Berserker: Khazan, Lies of P, and Another Crab's Treasure--which all led me to DS3.

It was good-ish.
Favorite boss was Soul of Cinder, and his phase 2 had the best track.

I loved Engage. The whole experience was such a vibe. Like, sure it wasn't as dark or serious or whatever like previous FE games.

But it was fun, the music was really good all throughout, and the Emblem system adds a LOT of build variety and replayability

Alear is honestly super sweet and down to earth, and there’s still plenty of heart in the lighter adventure story Engage offers.

The story is still neat, with wholesome or silly-fun supports with the cast to add to it!
