Coach DeLuca: "When you lead with love, great things happen."
Boston Guard head coach Laurie DeLuca said assistant coach Tracey Sullivan is missing training camp because she ran the Boston Marathon yesterday.
The Guard acquired Isabella Peterson and Sierra Cockerille via waivers? I know all of these rosters are stacked but those are two huge pickups. Those women can ball.
The Takeaway Check, Issue #113: Coaching has taught me valuable lessons about leadership, andI can pinpoint the moment of inflection.

'Everyone on our offense has to be a threat. We can’t be a one-trick pony kind of team; it’s too easy to faceguard (one) player'
At 8-0, there might not be a prep team in New England playing as well as Phillips Andover.

The Takeaway Check, Issue #112: Today is the 15th anniversary of the passing of one of my high school teammates. This day always reminds me the importance of pausing & acknowledging how fortunate I am to still be involved in lacrosse.

WLL Supplemental Draft Tomorrow at 3 on YouTube. Each team gets two picks. I hope we see Isabella Peterson drafted and back on a squad!
Rowan’s Elaina Corson is USA Lacrosse Magazine’s Division 3 Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week. In two victories, she scored 14 goals, tallied three assists, caused five turnovers, won four draw controls, and picked up four ground balls.
There are always things for writers that don't make the final cut so I'll send a couple on Harlan if interested. Here's one:
Some Friday evening Redwoods news: Wes Berg moved from PUP list to 25 man roster. Sam English moved from Injured Reserve to 25 man roster.
Those could be massive upgrades for the Redwoods. In 2024, Berg had five multi-goal games and scored in 8 of 10 games.
New mock draft from Adam Lamberti is out. He has the Redwoods taking midfielder Michael Leo. Makes a ton of sense. Position they need more from. You know GM Spallina has seen a lot of him. And he has chemistry with Sam English and Carter Rice.
