that people will have as much fun playing the game as we had developing it 😘

In these 10 years we learned that developing games is hard.
Trying to make a living with games is even harder.
So many things changed in the last decade (decade...wtf) and the future is uncertain for the whole industry.

We want to thank all the people who accompanied us on this journey, our families, friends, dev colleagues and of course all the folks who bought our first title "Sir Eatsalot" and also hopefully enjoyed it :D

We have our anniversary today. Our tiny indie studio exist now for 10 years 🎉🥳

Hey Gamecity, we’re Behind The Stone, indie studio from Hamburg specialized in 2D development and console porting 😀

I am also director of bringing out the trash while Monika is director of getting the coffee exactly the way she needs it. This is what they mean when the say as an indie-developer you have to wear many/different hats 😁

Our team consists of me (@slawadeisling.bsky.social), game director and programmer, and lovely and very skilled @naschvogel.bsky.social, who is the art director.
Great thing about being a very tiny team: Everyone gets to be a director of something.
