That’s a wrap on Unifor’s Health & Safety conference! Today we explored safety through an Indigenous lens and held a vital discussion on advocacy vs. discipline. Delegates are heading home with new skills to advocate for safer workplaces across the country.
Delegates at Unifor’s Health & Safety conference are digging deep into the root causes of hazards. Terry Anonson shared skills for managing investigations and afternoon breakout sessions covered a wide range of topics on keeping workers safe.
More than 140 members are in Port Elgin for Unifor’s Health & Safety Conference: Root Cause, Real Change. We’re sharpening the inspection and investigation skills needed to identify the root cause of unsafe conditions and build safer workplaces.
