Mostly just needed to change the bulbs which basically requires pulling it out of its seating anyway, so then just pulled it out since it seemed like it would be easier to work with & not scratch something + live in an apartment and park on the street, so that let me do it wherever

also i refuse to buy bright ass headlights so this made a huge difference in using my second from the dimmest headlight bulbs (which btw also last longer than the brighter ones anyway for those of us still using halogen bulbs, brighter = hotter = fail sooner)

i’m for sure biased as someone who bikes to multiple events a week on 1st between first ave, 7th st, fine line, target center etc. And more pedestrian space is absolutely needed, but one of the few places that bike infrastructure has gone backwards from painted lanes to absolutely nothing 😞
