you don't understand, doctor, his special interest is monarchy. he *needs* some kind of title or he freaks out, retreats to quincy, and starts rageposting at his shitty friends.

at what point does hasan piker fall through a big stained glass window with donald and goofy on it and gain access to a big-ass magic key
why has the New York Times Editorial Board built a full recreation of Naminé’s room from kingdom hearts 2 and kingdom hearts chain of memories
the Administration is simultaneously:
a. much more radical and obsessed with ensuring all staff are “working toward the Führer” instead of having any independent base
b. running on absolute fumes when it comes to anyone at all with experience, knowledge, or expertise and hoping inertia carries them
they often talk about chatham house rules but in the end.......... it's chatham house that rules you.
interactions that are brief and interchangeable to you are life-changing for everyone you interact with.
you bring men to tears with hackneyed cliches, women to their knees with casual glances. reporters describe you in the same terms that they describe angels in the bible.
but it really doesn't matter that you stumble on many of the same issues because you are so handsome and freakishly charismatic. your wit and humor terrifies people.
each time you enter a room, you are the most memorable thing in it. you seem to glitter when you talk. it frightens people.
every so often dr goodfeel gives you a combination of drugs that accidentally allows you to see the whole scope of history and your role in it. suddenly and with perfect clarity, you understand how to escape the trap that is the cold war.
then you have an massive orgy and forget it by morning.
jfk style of leadership is to fumble into the exact same mistakes as all of your contemporaries and then to go back to your rocking chair, high as a kite, and go, "fuuuuuuuuuck, i never should have done that. i never should have listened to them. im fucked. im boned. im pissing blood. fuuuuuuuckkk."
very confused communist #1: wow, you hear george wallace is a Red now?
very confused communist #2: yeah... but it's the blooded bit that's got me concerned.
very confused communist #1: probably a trotskyist. *shakes head sadly*
but not me. you should definitely take every single statement i make with absolute and utter seriousness. i would never exaggerate my own stance as a bit or goof. i would never go so low for chuckles.
there's a phenomenon on social media where people will make really outlandish statements that are very clearly for rhetorical effect or entertainment and then will ragepost people they don't like making similar kinds of statements, acting as if they made them with absolute seriousness
i also believe his pay per the Twitch leak is indicative of income across two years (though I am on mobile and not delving deeper due to other obligations)
all to say: google AI is not a reliable source to be called upon even when it generates info that confirms your prior beliefs
so, like, not a fan but i really would not draw on google AI overviews for any information.
the source it is pulling from is Celebrity Net Worth Dot Com, Wikipedia (which had no relevant information), a slop news aggregator, and then finally a WaPo story that has his pay at $2,810,480.11 per Twitch
trying to get out of jury duty by telling the lawyers im gonna do “henry fonda shit” only for one of them to, confused, go, “you’re going to cheat on your wife and become emotionally distant to your children?”
it's not even the panopticon in the sense that all your behavior is observed. it's both that you are observed and recorded and these recordings can be deployed at any time without any regard for context or circumstance. you are fighting a growing tide of recordings.
one of the worse things about the internet is that someone's extreme behavior is not something that stays with them for a day, that is handled by a community and recognized as outrageous, but is preserved into perpetuity and recycled endlessly as "evidence" that some behavior is commonplace
i think this was the plot of caprica, the only battlestar galactica-related property i've seen
didn't scott presler go immediately from trying to push indiana to gerrymander out all the dems to virginia to complain about democrats gerrymandering?
people’s war against the republikkkan party
not as big of a victory as I would have liked but, hey, a win’s a win
Not much I can say except listen to @worstpossible.world this Wednesday to understand why they're choosing this verse specifically lmao
i get the point on the need to let the congregation participate in full communion and that reformers were taking inspiration from protestant services but maaaaaaaaybe they could have embraced the use of many little cups
was somehow unaware that the decision to let all parishioners drink from the same chalice at mass was a Vatican II reform and, beforehand, there was centuries-old teaching that only the priest should do so because it was unsanitary to let so many people drink from the same cup lol
the philosophers wonder if minions appear because a government is evil or if it or its people view it as evil, if there are certain innate characteristics that attract these yellow-overalled creatures or if villain behavior is socially constructed and assigned.
it turns out that the minions have worked for every government across history, that they have filled every bureaucracy, have staffed every institution. is this because humanity itself is a villain? that we are innately evil?
no, it’s just anarchism is objectively right in the world of the Minions
