🚨BREAKING!🚨

The UCP have officially voted to ditch the Electoral Boundaries Commission Report to appoint their own commission and draw their own maps!

Gerrymandering is official UCP policy in Alberta!

Contrary to her script, Smith didn't even show up for the vote.

3 UCP legislature committee members forced a vote through to deny me, the proponent of #ForeverAlberta petition, Alberta’s largest ever petition, to appear before the committee and speak on behalf of the nearly 500,000 Albertans.

This is another move to assist the separatists.

Canada’s east-west electricity grid could be the pipeline of the future From solar arrays to wind projects and battery storage, First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities are investing in renewable power that creates local jobs, generates long-term revenue and strengthens...

"Now, clean electricity transmission could take the pipelines' place. Carney has an opportunity and a responsibility to ensure the future is built differently: powered by renewables, grounded in Indigenous rights and designed to deliver lasting benefits to communities across the country."

Even by Poilievre's standards this is just an absurd misrepresentation of reality.

Carney left the Bank of England in early 2020. Inflation didn't take off in the UK until mid-2021 -- the same as every other economy on earth.

I understand your opinion on it, I just don't agree with it. 🙂

The point I was making is that there are things the feds can do and things they cannot do. I don't believe it's a matter of them choosing not too; that's too simplistic.

It never stops with these cons. What will they do next seems to be the headline everyday.

The Canada Health Act: Overview And Options Prepared by: Odette Madore Economics Division Revised 16 June 2003

Just blaming the feds is too simplistic. The Act lays out what they can do, but with it being provincial jurisdiction, there are limits. Take a look at this, especially the penalties and privatization sections for some explanation of it.

Have you read the Act? There are things they can do, but I'd like to see them be able to do more. If you want a reasonable assessment of it, take a look at this, especially the privatization section.

That's what I find unfortunate. The Federal government provides health funding to the provinces, and they do penalize the provinces for infractions against the Act. I've read the Act and other assessments about it. There needs to be more teeth imo.

It's time the feds do something! By the time we get an election in AB, it will be too late.

Do you remember when 80% of EMS calls arrived at the scene under 8 minutes? I do. That was before the conservatives took over the service.

Thomas Ricketts was a Newfoundland teenager who lied about his age to fight in the First World War.
For two years he served in the trenches, and before the age of 18 he had earned the Victoria Cross for his bravery in battle.
This is his story.

Pierre Poilievre seems to be labouring under the belief that federal gasoline taxes are in the neighbourhood of 25 cents per litre.

The federal gas tax is actually 10 cents per litre, and if you include the GST on that it nets out to 10.5 cents.

“Pierre Poilievre was Housing Minister in Stephen Harper’s Conservative government, which allowed 800,000 affordable rental units to be sold off to corporate landlords and developers. Under Harper, the average home price in Canada went up 70%, and Poilievre refused to do anything about it.”

This is what a far right crash out looks like, and it’s got it ALL via the Western Standards “fact checker”…

- Makes himself the victim
- completely misrepresents the ruling (signatures are still allowed to be collected)
- open contempt for rule of law
- ends with racism
