Tweet by Martina Navratilova. "Predator. That is how he should register. A sexual predator…" quote-tweeting a tweet by "Biology Rules OK" about Dr. Beth Upton, a trans woman

This tweet is highly defamatory and Martina Navratilova should be fired from BBC Sport for it.

It demonstrates an horrendous level of hatred for a trans woman (who was cleared of all wrongdoing in a recent tribunal) because she is a trans woman.

This is just horrific. The gender critical movement along with the British press bullied her out of her job at the NHS and now they doxed her after she fled the country and are continuing the harassment and defamation. These people are absolute monsters.

Once again. These people do not want freedom of speech, they want the freedom to monolog without criticism.

They're going to end the freedom of speech of students to protest bigoted speakers they disagree with.

Handy Guide:

Terrorism is when you try to stop a genocide, free speech is when you try to start one.

Once again: corporate-approved horny.

Baldur's Gate and The Witcher and Cyberpunk will not be banned on Twitch, while less lascivious indie games are banned from sale. Horny is an increasingly relevant Cultural Trend, and culture must be consolidated into the hands of capital.

There is a subtle nuance here, that tracks with the patriarchal "gender critical" movement:

A man? Among women? Humiliating and cruel!

A woman? Among men? As it should be!

See how this works yet?

Transphobia is misogyny. It's patriarchy. TERFs aren't feminists. They're all male supremacists - or rather, the more accurate term that was once commonplace - Male Chauvinists. The perfect term that people stopped using because men didn't like it. Stop caring when toxic men ridicule good things.

It is very appalling and sometimes quite frightening to see how trans-exclusionary feminists have allied with rightwing attacks on gender. The anti-gender ideology movement is not opposing a specific account of gender, but seeking to eradicate "gender" as a concept or discourse, a field of study, an approach to social power. Sometimes they claim that "sex" alone has scientific standing, but other times they appeal to divine mandates for masculine domination and difference. They don't seem to mind contradicting themselves.
The Terfs (trans exclusionary radical feminists) and the so-called gender critical writers have also rejected the important work in feminist philosophy of science showing how culture and nature interact (such as Karen Barad, Donna Haraway, EM Hammonds or Anne Fausto-Sterling) in favor of a regressive and spurious form of biological essentialism. So they will not be part of the coalition that seeks to fight the anti-gender movement. The anti-gender ideology is one of the dominant strains of fascism in our times. So the Terfs will not be part of the contemporary struggle against fascism, one that requires a coalition guided by struggles against racism, nationalism, xenophobia and carceral violence, one that is mindful of the high rates of femicide throughout the world, which include high rates of attacks on trans and genderqueer people.
The anti-gender movement circulates a spectre of "gender" as a force of destruction, but they never actually read any works in gender studies. Quick and fearful conclusions take the place of considered judgments. Yes, some work on gender is difficult and not everyone can read it, so we have to do better in reaching a broader public. As important as it is, however, to make complex concepts available to a popular audience, it is equally important to encourage intellectual inquiry as part of public life. Unfortunately, we are living in anti-intellectual times, and neo-fascism is becoming more normalized.

He added: "I believe very strongly that women's wards should be for biological women. What do we do about tha biological female who is a trans man, looks, sounds, presents, lives, his life as a man is biologically female? We wouldn't put him on a women's ward. That would be degrading for him and humiliating And cruel.

Wes streeting admits what he is doing is "humilating and cruel".

But only for trans men (that look and sound man enough).

Perfectly happy to inflict cruelty and humiliation on trans women.

the cass review is a conservative party policy document cooked up by kemi badenoch.

it's not a scientific document and wes streeting refuses to get it peer reviewed.

it has been roundly rejected by the international medical community.

in short: cass is a dangerous bigot.

Revealed: Mandelson failed vetting but Foreign Office overruled decision β€” The Guardian Guardian investigation uncovers decision by UK security officials to deny clearance before Mandelson took up role as US ambassador

I’m old enough to remember when Keir Starmer’s whole shtick was that he’s meant to be Mr Due Diligence. Which means his unforced error here can only have been intentional and corrupt.

Imagine a study that found kids with ADHD have more visits to doctors than kids without ADHD β€” and used that finding to suggest ADHD treatment doesn't work. That's the standard of evidence the anti-trans braintrust is willing to accept.

polly isn't talking about the anti-lgbt+ platform of @darrenpjones.bsky.social, streeting, @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social and co when she absolutely should be

the whole 'gender critical' movement is orban style nonsense and fully utilises his tactics or rigging studies and capturing institutions

David Lammy. Great to catch up with my friend JD Vance today in DC following his talks in Pakistan. It's vital that the cewsedire continues and we get shipping flowing freely again through the Straits of Hormuz. We continue to work together towards a just and lasting piece in Ukraine.

This is how our government greets those accused of war crimes.

This is not diplomacy. It's debasement.

Can't stress enough how dishonest and opportunistic these people are. 'Cass review is unimpeachable' until Cass calls for a puberty blockers trial, then suddenly it's not. 'Women's organisations all oppose trans rights' until some support them, then suddenly they should be defunded etc. etc.

I spoke to a local women’s Institute yesterday about the history of witches. I was in two minds about whether to go ahead given the behaviour of the organisation, but in fact, it turned out that many individuals wanted to tell me that they disapproved strongly of the stance taken by leadership.
