I still get the recurring dream/nightmare that there was some class I was taking that I forgot about, and either never attended or didn't even remotely study for, and there was a final exam coming up.

Hasn't happened recently, but I used to have some variation of it a few times a year :)

I mean, yes, obviously "post" works, but then you'd need to qualify it as "post on BlueSky" since it could be a post anywhere. Versus if there were a specific term for "post on BlueSky" then it would be faster/simpler to say something like "Did you see my flutter?" :)

There's obviously nothing wrong with saying "post" :) It's a word that means the same thing regardless of platform.

My point was that if people wanted to use a "fun" name for specifically posting on BlueSky, that I felt "flutter" was a bit better than "skeet" - that's all! :)

I realize most people seem call posts on BlueSky "skeets", but I feel like we should use the term "flutter" instead...

I mean, the app icon IS a butterfly after all! :)

(aside from its urbandict definition, "skeet" just conjures up images of Lil Jon for me)
