Quick reminder that if you see a headline from a source you’ve never heard of that isn’t being reported by anyone else, you really should do some due diligence before spreading it around as fact. There’s enough misinformation floating around already; no need to add more.

This ain't the time to go off the rails with what ifs.
Focus only on what IS and pivot accordingly.
There's plenty of wild things happening right now but I keep coming across people who are going off into total paranoia, expecting the banks to shutdown or the Internet to fail.
Stay aware, have plans in place, organize or find community whether that's like DSA or a progressive church
But simmer.
Aaaand SK just goes and fails to impeach it's coup-attempting president.
Politicians are ghouls. You cannot change my mind on that.
It is wild to me that Monument Valley 3 is about to launch, a sequel to a game that helped build mobile gaming, and there is virtually no coverage on it. 2 scored reviews and a few loose articles. It is wild how much of a blind spot mobile still is for pubs.
very few things funnier to me than Minnesota trying to retcon Bob Dylan, a dude who famously left and never came back the literal first minute he possibly could, into a beloved local legend.
I have no sad feelings for all the jokes we had about Idaho growing up in Cascadia.
Couldn't say it better.
It’s not that I don’t want to read. I want to read stories about real people and real things, not politics.
Yeah so one of the early things I'm doing is blocking mediocre shitlib political opinion/dunk accounts that were so popular on exBirbsite. You know, the ones who all they do is give out fiery roastings without contributing much beyond that.
Dunks feel nice, but they don't win victories.
IQuick Thread: I really love people who work to take care of the spaces we share online. Because Bluesky is less centralized, more of that work falls to us.
As in all things…look for the helpers.
bots are becoming a bigger thing on this platform now. not as bad as twitter, but it’s a shame that no matter what, we’re forced into experiencing the internet technological rot that infests online spaces now
We cannot give anyone who works in a hierarchy a pass for "just following orders". None whatsoever.
You can empathize that they were under a difficult situation, but in the end, if they made the morally wrong choice, they're wrong, and should be treated as such. Full guilt and shame that comes with
Well, yeah, you should feel ashamed.
You're a traitor to your own nation and a walking disgrace.
"Just following orders" is not a pass. Follow orders at your peril.
This doctor’s letter to United Heathcare for denying nausea medication to a child on chemotherapy.
On one hand, I finally have a purpose for my Raspberry Pi that's been laying around for ... years... and that will be running a pihole (screw you advertisers). OTOH, I've now spent 2 hours trying to get this working 😒
Look if you've ever been looking for something you can do to help trans people do this now
Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

MVTA got Baby Busses!
These debuted today and will serve their rapidly growing P2P microtransit MVTA Connect service.
I mean... Honestly it makes Über pretty useless in the service areas except to go outside it.

The power of love is inadequate and incomplete
But the hammers we swing MUST do more than just destroy
“The Palestinian people will not recover from this in our lifetimes as a people, and we're failing to call it what it is,” Amnesty International executive director Paul O’Brien told Zeteo.
I’d like to introduce myself and explain a little about my work with my map 🌐🗺️
TLDR: militia members showed up to our school board meetings so I started digging to see who was giving them orders and traced the pipeline to the top

Mikey Day already has you beat on that...
At least until he goes a bit too far with the cake knife jokes.
Today's (2nd) Poem by Brian Bilson:
I find the word 'nuance' is almost exclusively used when someone wants to shield the indefensible from deeper examination and criticism.
I cannot recall the word being used much for situations like the difference between levying a .02% or .03% property tax and what that fraction of a percent does.
Public schools ignite opportunity for students. A union card sustains that opportunity throughout their careers and into their retirement. - @rweingarten.bsky.social
Really looking forward to reading this next year!
