Highly recommend this shortie. Heavy lifting for a tiny vessel.

So exciting! I can’t wait to buy and read this one!
"...but more importantly, her sister’s heart is hardening past the point of return, a fossilization in real-time." Gutted by this important tiny story by @emacnair.bsky.social. Highly recommend. flashfictionmagazine.com/blog/2026/03...

Kelly, thanks so much for reading and sharing. Thanks also for taking the time to select this line. This is the exact moment, remembered later, that the main character will not be able to forgive herself for.
You're too kind. ☺️
Excited this short piece found the perfect home. Thank so much to my fitness group at @smokelong.bsky.social for helping me revise it and to @jmwwjournal.bsky.social for the edits that made it stronger. Feeling grateful. 🥰
Thanks so much for reading and sharing my story, Hugh, and for promoting short fiction in general. I love your music recommendations, too. Your newsletter is the bomb.
“There,” said Toad. “Now my day is all written down.” He got out of bed and had something to eat.

"The filly was born perfect. Almost impossible to believe –..." This story. 🔥
It’s been a while since I shared this, but I’m sharing it again. Writing it was awful, but the replies I received in response made me feel less alone. I hope it makes someone else feel seen.
Every release about Epstein makes me feel like this girl again. And there are millions out there like me.
Okay, okay, I'm an Ani King fangirl, so you might choose to ignore me, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this tiny little story! Delish. Wouldn't kill you to read it.
Wow, Claudia! This one's beautiful and thought-provoking! Perfect.
This semester has been one of the best teaching semesters of my life and it's almost entirely because of going 90%+ to pen and paper.
My students are fully doing it, without complaint, and it's beautiful. They're actually reading. They're writing weird shit. They're being brave.
They like this.
I cannot wait!

Thanks so much. ☺️
Thanks so much, Trent. In addition to being a fantastic short story writer, you always take the time to celebrate other writers and I'm grateful.
Well, well, isn't this fun news to share. Thanks so much to the whole team @malahatreview.bsky.social and to judge H. Felix Chau Bradley. Feeling lucky (this time!) and grateful.
My writing advice? Find an activity that fully empties your skull, and make it a part of your daily routine. Exercise, art, video games, snowboarding, cooking; anything that leaves NO ROOM for intrusive thoughts or obsession. Brains need oil changes to maintain peak performance. Be stupid once a day
This newsletter is more than pretty good. It’s a smorgasbord of interesting music, stories, ideas. Highly recommend.
