I played Firewatch with my mystery solving / police procedural head on - so when it told me to take photos of interesting things I though I'd need them for clues. I did not, the montage at the end which should have been full of beautiful vistas was just full of corpses and rubbish.

I'm really looking forward to talking at this too!

So much of this echoes the thoughts I've had about how my son navigates this new media world. I've spent a lot of time explaining to other people that of course he likes watching youtube, it's effectively personalized content in his niche interests - what's not to love?

I used to have a lecture about this when I was an games academic, How nostalgia is manufactured through specific lenses, and it isn't necessary reflected in the gaming histories of players - and that shared knowledge couldn't just be counted upon by designers.

My son and I spent a happy time this morning building my gift of a lego chrysanthemum

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

I live in a house where everyone in it apart from me is allergic to cut flowers - I'm a big fan on the lego botanical range, it's nice to have flowers the don't die and I don't have to think about keeping alive.

I'm updating my personal website, it hasn't updated, I can't work out why (support ticket has been sent - I'm sure it will be sorted It's just frustrating and complicated and it probably doesn't need to be)

I'm taking my son (10) and his friend - he's very excited that it looks like a 'proper movie' - coming off the back of his voice work in The Super Mario Bros film, and having recently discovered Tenacious D he's very excited Jack Black is in it.
He would be thrilled with a Jack Black action figure.

Yep - Team boards, multi team boards, different topics, different access levels depending on the board and the content. They've really helped us visualize planning and design, is it even a feature or a meeting if it doesn't have a Miro board?

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

The studio I work in very heavily use Miro boards, for pretty much everything, in all departments - they are incredible useful, especially as we're mixed in the studio and remote.

Sometimes they have long usage, built up over months, sometimes they are one and done for a meeting.

I thought Irish was gong to be super easy because I'm fluent in Welsh (and using duolingo to practice) but I've been super surprised at how different is is (different roots) with the occassional familiar word.

I'm studying Irish on Duolingo (as it's my next holiday destination and I wanted to see how it differed from my native Welsh) I'm enjoying it's delicious bluntness.
