I tend to hold inside so much stress and pressure and anxiety, unconsciously, that I have found it helpful to

• Pray a line of Jesus’ model prayer

• Take a deep breath

• Name what I release, based on that prayer

• Remain quiet until it’s released

• Move to the next line

I don’t know how many college kids I talk to who are a mess inside, unsure of who they are, where they’re going, and what they should do. Telling them to go deeper into the chaos to find an answer is a recipe for more anxiety and paralysis.
