Case-in-point: I am reading this YA novel for the book club my colleague and I started years ago to get ELA teachers to read more—and more joyfully. It’s so well done but it’s so dark, and I am pushing through with a pit in my stomach. It better have a customary YA pleasant ending.

I love Columbia. In the last hour, we’ve seen a Pro-Palestine march and a guy arguing with someone else saying “if only there were a more succinct way to say anti-anti-racism.” Also it’s sorority mom’s weekend, and there was a guy preaching an anti-materialism/betrayal gospel on a busy corner.

Also, there is a very fascinating Venn diagram intersection for teachers’ feelings about AI based on their age and discipline. Interestingly, the level of student they teach doesn’t matter. Mostly just age and subject area.

Well it went fine and was even a little fun.

Past Christy signed me up to lead a conference session about AI in the classroom this morning. Present Christy thinks past Christy is a pain in the ass.
