Weirdly I just posted this mangled Guardian headline today

A screenshot of a newspaper headline is badly/confusingly written to suggest that a cop was wrongfully imprisoned for murdering himself

Sometimes it’s not easy being both an editor and a reader of headlines 🤪

The last line of that story is one of my all-time favorite lines ever

If you haven’t yet confirmed that the writer is who they say they are, it could be an imposter or plagiarizer. I’ve seen suspected plagiarizers balk when asked to do something (meet face to face on Zoom, etc) that would force their true identity out in the open.
