Hahaha. Yeah it logged me out and I haven't changed any of my authenticating data but it says "rate exceeded" even though it's my first time trying to log back in. My desktop version works just fine

A Netgalley review for INHALATION that reads as follows: "Milo has a terminal cancer diagnosis, and travels across the country so he can die in his childhood home where both of his parents and 7 of his 9 siblings also died. His sole living sibling is his estranged sister Marie, who is the leader of a religious cult and won't leave him alone. What I though was going to be a story of a haunted house/possession ended up being more bizarre than I could have anticipated. This book was weird af, and combines a strict religious upbringing with haunted house horror and somehow also Alice in Wonderland. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of Inhalation in exchange for my honest review."
Love swinging by NetGalley to see how badly INHALATION is breaking the normies
Openly laughed at the guy running my local probably-a-front convenience store as he said he stopped carrying American Spirits because "They stopped making them. How about Basics?" My man I can appreciate the hustle but the white hipsters didn't all just die like at once like nepo honeybees
Of course I'd love for you to do both, but if you're only able to do one or the other, I'd ask that you skip preordering Inhalation and contribute to Candace crowdfund. She really is the friggin best and we want her around for a good long time
A red-and-black blurb card for Michael Boulerice's INHALATION that reads as follows: "INHALATION is a heavily-layered journey of remembrance, love, loss, and family obligation. Michael Boulerice blends all these elements together as skillfully as an artist, all while forcing us to look at the dark thing in the corner, at the thing that aims to destroy us all. This one will leave you peering into the shadows long after the story is over. - Candace Nola, author of Demons in my Bloodstream"
I somehow managed to lasso @candacenola.bsky.social (arguably the busiest woman in horror) for a blurb! Incredibly grateful for the kind words. Your Collective of the Censer sweatsuit is in the mail 🚭

This new American Gladiators reboot on Amazon Prime is scouring the rainy springtime gloomies from my limbic system. I can feel the power returning to my body every time a cocky amateur athlete is crushed by someone named Voltage or Supernova
Cold crashing is fine! Just put those finished bottles somewhere that's room temp and preferably out of any sunlight. You'll be all set, I'm sure
Hahaha yeah with ciders they can take a bit longer to carb because of the acidity and general lack of nutrients slows that residual yeast down. I'd keep those bottles warm-ish to help speed it up, but don't add too many. One drop usually equals one teaspoon of sugar
Dude! Sorry for the late response; I was traveling and then catching up from traveling, etc etc. But yeah! I've absolutely used carb drops before
A red-and-black blurb card graphic for Michael Boulerice's INHALATION that reads as follows: "Boulerice is the People’s Champ of indie horror, and his latest sees him at the top of his game, threading cosmic dread with all-too-real human frailty. It’s a story of memory, families, and faith, all drenched in an oppressively hostile atmosphere, where past and present tangle, culminating in a knot of psychedelic phantasmagoria. By turns horrific and heartbreaking, Inhalation is a fresh and masterful exploration of what it means to be haunted. - B.R. Yeager, author of Negative Space"

If you see this post a pic of yourself in glasses so the FBI can add it to their facial recognition software and you'll never again be able to rob a Build-A-Bear kiosk in your pineapple shades
Bluesky has activated the Emergency Pervert Filter, which makes the site basically unusable for known perverts. This filter was activated hours ago. Anyone struggling to use the site should notify their local police. Thank you!
Of course I'm always excited to see Feeding The Wheel out in the world but the most important thing here is THIS KITTY. THIS IS A VERY GOOD KITTY
What a great pic! I really hope you dig Feeding The Wheel!
Book peaking up between levels of her cat tree, surrounded by two books

Also just now realizing there's no direct way to delete your D2D account and you have to email support to have them do it manually. Starting to smell like a class action if they don't remedy that issue ASAP
But hey at least we can rest easy knowing our abandoned royalty splits will help keep Kris Austin from having to trim any fat at the nickel-and-dime factory
Exactamundo, my man
A portion of an email from Draft 2 Digital (D2D) telling me I've earned a whopping $0.20 from a random one-off anthology royalty share I will never actually see because of their new fee structure
RIP my D2D account. Gonna miss these lotto jackpot emails

I guess the thing we all always need to keep in mind is that pretty much every book platform or tool is, in the end, a tech company, and that every tech company is one c-suite decision or investor trend away from screwing over their end users. Tech companies will tech company, in the end.
@draft2digital.bsky.social has made the inane decision to charge a yearly fee to anyone that make less than $100 per year, indicating that such accounts may be AI slop. This punishes indie publishers in particular, but it especially punishes members of a shared revenue project. (1/5)
A portion of an old CCS (California Cheap Skates) brochure from 1999 featuring the brand new Chad Muska skateboard sneakers from Circa. I can't begin to tell you how many illicit substances I stuffed into that secret stash pocket, so I'll just say "all of them"

A selfie of me sporting a black Tenebrous Press tank top as I walk my dog Chad down an unpaved country lane in the oppressive early heat. I am hilariously sunburned from my trip to Florida and this tank is the only thing in my closet that I don't want to immediately rip off of my body
BRB modeling @tenebrouspress.bsky.social's baby soft tank tops because they're all my crispy sunburned skin can handle at the moment
Insurance companies getting their last-ditch profiteering in before the midterm elections really does feel like a warm hug from an old friend
The out-of-pocket cost for my sleep medication just went from $35 to FOUR HUNDRED AND SIXTY NINE DOLLARS. The insurance industry is not your friend if they're willing force all of you to endure the hypervigilant goblin magick of Exhausted Baby Boy Boulerice
