Whimsical Art of Cats Let’s be honest, cats are whimsical creatures in general. This is before you add art, mythology, and superstitions. Cats are little mysterious and playful creatures. They are sweet, sometimes sassy, and occasionally little gremlins. But, we love them for it. These fuzzy creatures will always have a place in mine, and many other’s hearts. I have come to realize this after looking at my art over the past year, but cats have and will always be a part of my art.

Cats will always be somewhere in my art. Just as cats have always been part of the art world, they will continue to be part of my world too.Here are a few recent examples of fuzzies who made their way onto my canvas!

An autumn stained glass inspired art piece being displayed on a dress created using it as a pattern. The dress is mostly blue shades with black lines throughout it denoting that it is stained glass-like. The autumn leaves depicted on the art are various shades of red, orange, and yellow with a few branches being brown.

This autumn stained glass inspired piece took 11 hours to paint on two separate canvases to achieve the desired look. I have always wanted to have a dress that was made of stained glass, though it is impractical. This will have to do.

Art Style Changes I know a great many artists desire to create their own identifiable art style. For those artists the best advice I can give is to just test out different things they enjoy. Find artists that they admire and study what they like about their art, then test out the specific technique they love from their favorite artists and see if it resonates with their own art.
