Russian hackers carry out devastating cyber attack against vital infrastructure in the UK.
Krastev called Orban the right-wing Castro, which I think is exactly right: the leader of a small relatively insignificant country, that nevertheless became the ideological lodestar for a global movement after being propped up by russia
In an open letter to American psychologists, Iranian psychologists called for an assessment of the mental health of the US political leaders in the interest of world peace.
"Europe! Europe!" - chants the crowd.

ORBÁN CONCEDED
Can't believe the president's son-in-law, one of his golf buddies and the author of "Hillbilly Elegy" were unable either to correctly pronounce the word "Iran" or to resolve a decades-long dispute in 21 hours.

I talked to somebody who works at Anthropic recently, they said it’s the most alarming corporate culture they’ve ever seen and feels more like a cult than an employer.
Some reports say over 500 schools, 55 libraries, & 25 universities hit.
You can debate the numbers, but hitting Sharif University & Beheshti is like hitting MIT & Stanford. I keep wondering: How would the scientific community respond differently if it was those universities? What’s the difference?

You'd get the feeling that this fiasco wasnt about freeing a people from extremism at all....
I think that a lot of very online people have a persistent but false idea that discourse is the entire terrain of politics, and that “politics” can be boiled down to convincing enough people to think what you think. This leads to delusions about the utility and efficacy of arguing and debating.
Two last quick things then I’ll end.
One, there’s nothing wrong with having an online place to just chill and agree with each other. If you’re meaningfully active in your offline life, you don’t necessarily feel the need to make online an arena of combat. People need to relax sometimes.
French President Macron:
“Europe is an extremely attractive continent. For months I’ve been saying this. And thanks to our American friends, I now have an unprecedented selling point: We are predictable.”
Don't EVER say Israel entrapped the US in this war.

For all the folk that struggle to articulate exactly what the US “strategy” is for its war - finally someone has articulated it succinctly and accurately.
“War crimes”
In 2025, more power was generated worldwide from renewable energy than from coal, and 91% of new renewables are now cheaper than fossil fuels.
Each year nuclear adds only as much net global power capacity as renewables add every two days.

The US has lost 16 MQ-9 Reaper drones since the Iran war began at a cost of $30 million each, CBS reports.
