And the trilogy is complete.
This moment in Dragon Ball is the peak of the story, for me. Such an incredible journey for a character. Had to make this since both voice actors for the Latin dub are attending an event together. And to complete the series with my previous Goku and Vegeta drawings.

Wanted to make a companion piece to the Goku drawing from events prior, leading up to a sort of trilogy series with the same style. Highly motivated by the fact that both Mario and Rene of the far superior and definitive latin dub (you know I'm right), were attending an event.

On inks I typically use a lot of hatching techniques, and I need to remember to experiment a little more on digital renders, to avoid flat and boring results.

I really want to learn to do more with simpler shapes and less lines. As someone with a heavy hand, organic gesture motions really trip me up.

A totally average and probably very polite person.
This was meant for a horror themed event, and was definitely rushed. I've always enjoyed that effect of eyes just barely visible because of a faint glimmer.

I wanted to practice something with a large sense of scale for animation's strongest little gremlin. Ode to Joy by Beethoven is what played in my head the entire time I was making this. Maybe you can guess which animated film planted the vibe/idea in my head.

Landscapes are such a weakpoint for me. I desperately need to practice more environments, and motion/impact effects. And modern One Piece is certainly igniting that hunger with the sakuga it's been putting out the last couple years.
