Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest. There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day. What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid. It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.

Trump wraps up a speech to military leaders that represented a major escalation of his effort to weaponize the armed forces into a tool he can use to violently quash domestic dissent. Hard to imagine how anyone with a shred of dignity can keep serving after this, which of course is the point.

Do I have this right? The shooter doesn’t write “abolish ICE”, “destroy ICE”, or “f*uck ICE”? He writes “anti ICE” in blue sharpie and to back up those amazingly milk toast words he shoots detainees but not ICE agents? Either Kash Patel thinks that we are gullible idiots or Kash Patel is a liar.

What will the consequences be for the people around them? Also—there’s a lot that’s very funny about this situation, but the ones who are doing advance prep to help out those who are “left behind” seem nice? And I’m sorry that they were misled and will be disillusioned.

Ok, I ill-advisedly watched a few RaptureTok videos that were posted on another platform. I think at least some of these folks genuinely believe this? So how many are there? Because they will feel so embarrassed & hurt & broken when it doesn’t happen… what if some lash out?
