"We are more likely to be declined for jobs and that's such a huge financial strain especially over here in South Florida. I'm currently going through that myself (wish me luck, I'm waiting on results for one of my dream jobs!!) Another form of visibility is getting involved in our community, like, even if I hate you, I don't actually hate you because at the end of the day if I saw you struggling I would help you. I think we should keep that mindset for our community, because even if you don't like a member they still need resources. Don't forget art, uplifting our voices and expression! Paying us fully for our work even if you are a "friend." Supporting our work wholeheartedly. Not asking for handouts knowing you have the privilege to pay."

IMPORTANT UPDATE RE: PASSPORTS WITH “X” GENDER MARKER Lambda Legal wants all international travelers who use a passport with an “X” gender marker to know that your identity document is still legal and valid.
A new U.S. Customs and Border Protection policy is now in effect. Some airline booking systems may not accept an “X” gender marker for international travel and instead might require “M” or “F”.
Your passport with an “X” gender marker is still legal and valid. This change affects airline data systems, not your legal documents or your right to travel.
We want all international travelers who use a passport with an “X” gender marker to know that your identity doc is still legal & valid.
