Say what you will about the worst members of the Roberts Court, but they all make sure their wives are in on the grift.

Jane Roberts, Martha Alito and Ginni Thomas are equal partners with their husbands in the grand project of destroying the United States and enriching themselves in the process.

Power without accountability: The Palantir manifesto The problems with our tech philosopher kings

New, from me: Take the Palantir manifesto seriously, if not literally.
It reveals that our tech philosopher kings want public money, but without public accountability. This creates a dilemma for governments unaligned with its techno-fascist vision. 🧵

Tesla saved $400 million on its federal taxes by shifting billions of its U.S. profits to countries with lower tax rates.

Yes: While you paid your taxes in full, giant corporations maneuvered to pay as little as possible — and it’s all perfectly legal for them.

The system is rigged.

Immigration board denies Mahmoud Khalil's appeal, bringing activist one step closer to deportation The Board of Immigration Appeals has denied Mahmoud Khalil's latest attempt to dismiss his deportation case.

The Trump admin has targeted students, faculty, universities, law firms, journalists, newsrooms, protesters -- anyone speaking in even tentatively oppositional ways to those in power. But there's been particular attack on immigrants & Palestinian rights speech. Horrible: apnews.com/article/mahm...

In our discussion, @gtconway.bsky.social envisions two steps: Accountability for Trump and top officials first, then reforms to prevent future fascism second. It all amounts to a pretty good accountability agenda for the post-Trump era.

Here's the key exchange:

Trump recorded a reading from II Chronicles: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

The New York Times has a complicated relationship with telling the truth about the powerful, especially 45/47.

Families left reeling after hospitals in blue states drop transgender care for youth Massachusetts passed laws and joined lawsuits to protect access to gender-affirming care for minors. But faced with the Trump administration's threats, some hospitals voluntarily stopped care.

Right now where you live healthcare for trans kids is either being made literally illegal by your state or made functionally illegal by the unlawful threats of the federal government and a care infrastructure glad to sacrifice trans kids on the altar of appeasement.

The promise of a pardon helps him control them. I doubt he would issue pardons before the last possible moment.

Palantir posts mini-manifesto denouncing inclusivity and ‘regressive’ cultures | TechCrunch Palantir's ideological bent has come under more scrutiny as it's worked with ICE and positioned itself as a defender of "the West."

Any candidate that takes money from Palantir should not receive your vote.

Co-founder Joe Lonsdale is pouring millions into a PAC to buy off Democrats, especially in California.

Actually, I’ve explained this MANY TIMES

This generation of Black ppl vote MORE than any generation since we got the right to vote

But after the 1st Black was elected, WHITE PPL began turning out in historic numbers to vote for Trump. As this graph CLEARLY shows…

The “crisis” is white people.

Listen to this story from Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, breaking the it down like no other.

Trump is extracting money from families’ budgets and pumping it to his fossil fuel donors.

Thank you Senator 👏👏👏

Damn good analogy

There is a certain coherence to the political coverage on @ms.now that is lacking in, say, the @nytimes.com. That’s because MS NOW recognizes and acknowledges that Trump is deranged, inept, and corrupt, whereas the Times is constantly dumbfounded by his behavior and cannot explain it.
